Three Batteries!
In addition to the (2) AAA batteries you also need a 9 volt battery. Nowhere does it say this. It is also very large in size.

THE UNIT IS LARGER THAN MANY YOU SEE AROUND; I LIKE THAT ASPECT. I'M OLD, BIGGER MEANS EASIER TO SEE AND LESS FUMBLING AROUND. STURDY LOOK AND FEEL TO IT. LOVE THE BEEPER WHEN CHECKING CONTINUITY, MEANS YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE LOOKING AT THE NEEDLE TO JUMP. COULD SPEED THINGS UP A LITTLE. HAPPY WITH IT SO FAR, 2 AA BATTEREIES FIT SNUGGLY INTO PLACE, EASY TO INSTALL OR REMOVE. JUST ONE SCREW TO REMOVE FOR ACCESS. A RATHER LARGER SCREW TOO, NOT TO GET LOST EASILY. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO OTHER BUYERS WITHOUT HESITATION.

Just what I needed and at the right price

Better than some
For the price, it's not bad. This one is not a pocket model for sure, does not come with batteries and for reasons unknown takes (3) batteries??? (1) 9 volt and (2) AA 1&1/2 volt. I could not get US made AA batteries to fit so had to get Chinese ones. I believe, for bench work it will be just fine.
