Safety alterations necessary
This hutch is pretty good for something store bought. It’s fairly easy to assemble, even by yourself. I would advise that, if you’re going to use it outside, you add some hardware cloth in a few places so that your rabbit can’t dig out and no predators can get in and add better latches for the run. There’s a gap in between the run lid and the hutch because the lid would hit the roof, that’s a place that predators can get into as well, but again that can be fixed by adding some hardware cloth to cover the gap. You can get a 2ft x 5ft roll at Home Depot for about $8. I would not get this is you’re going to use it outside and you don’t want to do any extra work on it. All of my pictures are after I’ve added hardware cloth (except in the gap between the hutch and run lid).

3 stars for cuteness
This is the cutest little rabbit house and it is very large. It is not very sturdy. Under no circumstances would I leave it outside unattended. There are spaces under the house where a rabbit can easily wiggle under and escape. Mine did it with in 1 minute of being put in the cage. I set up this cage inside a spare bedroom so it's not a big deal if she gets out. The chicken wire is not really secure enough to keep out predictors who could chew through it in a few minutes. The wood it is made of is very soft. My cat already chewed off one corner of the windowsill after it being together for 30 minutes. The instructions are nothing but 6 fuzzy pictures. Some parts are easy to put together and some like the roof, are mind boggling. My next door neighbor, who is a contractor, even said the directions were useless. But, we got it together. Who ever designed it must have been drunk since the house floor and the front porch don't fit in the cage.I went to Home Depot and got a plywood board for the bottom and some trim for the sides. Now that it is bunny proof, my bunny is unable to escape. All in all, for the price it is good and it's sufficient for an indoor rabbit cage.

Easy assembly, but you get what you pay for
Easy assembly took me and my 7 year old about 15 minutes to put together. Word to the wise use wood glue in the joints. Has some minor imperfections in the manufacture of it but still fits nicely. I'm going to add more staples to the chicken wire.March 2017:Everything except the wire fence is holding up. I added more staples to the wire but for some reason the wood rejects the staples in a day or two. The screws that hold the hinges to the frame for the screen door slipped out and seems as though the wood isn't going to hold it there any more, time to tap new holes. All in all good for a rabbit. Would not add a chicken to this, it is way to small.I did bring the rating down a star because of the staple issue. In a few months, if I figure out how to get the staples to adhere then I will update but this seems as though this is going to be the issue that does the product in for me.June 2017: well had to rebuild the run area. Staples werent even holding anymore. Ripped 2x4s length wise and Made 1x4s, sandwiched poultry netting in between and screwed and glued back together. Made it twice as large, nice cypress wood beautiful stain, put her in and she loves the extra space. Porch is falling apart the ramp is no longer connected. All in all for the dollar I paid I was better off building. Down 2 stars for longevityJuly 2017:after $100 for the cage and $200 worth of wood/ stain for the run upgrade the rabbit got out.

Happy Bun Mommy!
Best Bunny House Ever!! We've had ours since February and we're now mid October. Our English Lop Ear LOVES his home! It took awhile for me to figure out what to do with the "yard area"; as our bun is an inside bun. After several crafty attempts I realized a standard puppy fake grass kit (Petmaker Puppy Potty Trainer 20x25-also available on Amazon for like $15) fits in the "grass" area perfectly! Our bun is litter trained but I put a puppy pad under the "grass" of the puppy pad and I do clean his box daily. He doesn't try to eat the grass really. I did also try the real grass pads- thinking he would enjoy to eat the real grass but he didn't bother with it much.. My husband is "constructionally challenged" but was able to put this together on his own-so it can't be too terribly difficult. It is not huge which we like and he has a big playoen he goes in to play and get his daily excersize-so between his playpen and home he is quite happy. We LOVE it!! :)

She is breaking out!!
I bought this house for my rabbit because she was ready to give birth and I had the whole idea of a family with a white picket fence house lol. It's cute, yes. However my mommy rabbit thinks it's a chew toy, pr she is breaking out slowly. It's cute but not for an animal that eats everything in sight. Picket fence n ramp are almost gone. The base where the chicken wire goes is almost gone, soon she will be able to squeeze through. The babies found an escape route under the porch. It's amusing to watch them escape that way. I would buy this for a less distructive animal. Or the maker should make it more harder to chew through. It did it's job in what I bought it for, for her to have privacy with her babies n to keep daddy out. I would recommend but not for a aggressive rabbit.

Bunny time!
This hutch is super easy to put together. It is quite flimsy for outdoor use. We have our bunnies inside with an added plywood floor. The bunnies have eaten a lot of the hutch. To prevent this we dabbed Tabasco on the eaten parts with our fingers. We now call our 2 bunnies Hansel and Gretel. The hutch is so cute and the bunnies like it. But they need exercise because of the size. The tray slides out fine if you put minimal shavings in it. Note that you will have to change every other day because of smell(they are critters and critters go potty). Where the tray meets the joints our bunnies urine leaks down the feet of the hutch...hence the plywood under and added paper towels. All in all, I would buy this again because it serves it's purpose well for indoor bunnies. Easy access, easy cleaning, easy to put together, and good directions!
