Very satisfied
This stone was recommended to me by my local knifesmith and I've been quite satisfied by it. Its small and easily carried or kept handy and does the job of keeping my pocket knives very sharp. Highly recommended.

tiny but works
This is very very small so it depends what you need it for, it's fine if it's not for heavy duty use, just domestic.

Dear DMT quality control,
First off, I love the concept of these compound stones from DMT.They are lightweight and effective. They cut any steel as well as it is possible due to the diamondabrasive. I posses a number of these stones: XX-coarse, X-coarse, coarse and fine. Several of each in fact. They all work as anticipated. So do the diamond pastes of DMT.HOWEVER, the x-fine (and possibly also xx-fine) versions of the stones do NOT. Ive ordered 6 - in words six - of the x-fine stones, and returned them all. Their surface is rough and features metal spots (images, 160 fold magnification). The scratch pattern is in fact not superior to that of the fine version of the stones. I dont know why the quality is not up to par - none of the other grit sizes features the inconsistencies of the surface. Maybe their process cannot handle the thinner Nickel layers properly.Dont take my word for it, refer to an expert: youtube, Michael Christy, sharpening using pocket sharpeners. In summary: DMT makes fine products, just not quite extra fine products.

Quite Small
This appears to be a quality product. Be aware, though, it is very small.
