Can use this primer for regular paint jobs ?

Depends on what you consider “regular”. On vehicles? Most definitely.

Does this have good adhesion to stainless steel?

If you etched the metal with a fine grit sandpaper first on a rotary power sander, I feel based off of my experience with it, that it would do superb. I painted extremely shiny, dipped metal truck bumpers by doing just what I mentioned and the bond I got was amazing. I couldn’t scrape the primer off if I tried.

Will it adhere to existing paint? Can you paint directly over it or do you need to paint over it with an epoxy primer

Yes it does adhere to painted surfaces after sanding . No need for an epoxy primer coat . Hope this helps . Bill R.

Great primer for adhesion on bare metal. Excellent product!

Great primer for metal.

I've used this primer on both steel and aluminum. Once you've prepped the surface with sandpaper and acetone, it provides good adhesion and coverage with a single coat. It dries quickly, and may be followed with a base coat of whatever spray paint you're using. One can goes a long way.

Good product

Bought this to coat some steps I had made for my truck and had enough left over to mostly coat my utility trailer. First step I sprayed too thick but it still turned out ok. If using this product for the first time do a practice piece first to get your spray consistency.
