Prevue Pet Products Small Animal Cage with Stand 620 Powder Blue and White, 47-Inch by 22-Inch by 37-Inch

I have had this cage since February 23, 2013. It was put together the day it arrived and has been in use every day since. I LOVE this cage. It is a fantastic size for my very pampered English Angora rabbit. I have had no problems with the blue pan falling off the track. It is pretty sturdy on my cage, and I frequently pull it out more than half way to clean the pan.One reviewer mentioned a blue tab with a screw, mine was attached when I got the cage, and it goes on the end that the pan slides out from. It rotates to lock the grate and bin in place. I found this works best by folding the handle for the wire floor grate under the floor so it is inside the blue bin. Otherwise the handle for the floor grate gets in the way of the lock.We had two other cages prior to this one. One was a nice size, but solid bottomed, and just got too messy too quickly (especially with an Angora). The other was similar to this, made by a different company, cheaper and smaller. That one didn't work for us, because the floor grid rested on top of the pan. In order to clean the bottom pan, you had to take everything out of the cage, remove both pieces, lift the grate up and then clean. The bin in that one also slid all over the place and was not nearly as secure as this cage is.Some of the dimensions I was looking for, but couldn't find when I ordered this were the following:-Height of the floor grate from the ground is approximately 18".-The bottom of the blue pan is approximately 10" from the ground.-The blue pan is approximately 7 1/2" deep (internal depth). *Amazon says 6 1/2", but mine measured at 7 1/2".PROS:-Easy to clean.-Sturdy.-The floor grate rests on a different part of the frame from the pan. This means you can remove the pan while the animal is still inside of it.-Easy to roll since it is on wheels, yet heavy enough that it doesn't move as the animal bounces around the cage.-The entire top opens up which makes for easy access to the interior of the cage.-There is a secondary front door too (my rabbit is big enough to jump in and out on his own).-HUGE cage size, perfect for a house rabbit who doesn't get time to run around the house every day.CONS:-Fiddley to put together, and yes, it is much easier with two people.-The floor grate can move with the rabbit and make noise. This stopped when I put a 12"x12" marble tile in a corner of his cage on top of the floor grate. I did this to provide him with a cooling spot for the warmer weather as he does overheat easy. I realized that since doing that, the cage has been quieter (and he LOVES his tile).-The floor grate could use a bit more support. The only issue with support bars is that it would make it difficult to keep the grate clean.

A pain to put together, but you can do it by yourself. Get one premade used or from a store if you can. But this is my favorite deep, yet wide cage. I use it for my chinchilla and it catches way more poop than some top of the line $400 cages. I’ve had many different chinchilla cages in the past decade. This is the simplest and most effective because the pan is so deep. Really helps. The bars are sturdy, not too wide apart, and the whole thing rolls if you have to move it. And then the pan slides out. Couldn’t be designed better.

Ok , so there is a lot going on with these pictures . 1st let me say , I’ve always rescued all my animals from rescues or shelters , but my son wanted guinea pigs and the rescue near me wouldn’t allow us to adopt a pair unless we had a 5 foot cage. I told them this is the biggest cage I can fit in our space , and they would be spoiled. Nonetheless I had “ buy” pets for the first time . And in my opinion it is large enough for 2 piggies, if you clean it every few days. The cage package itself arrived with a large rip and crushed corner and one corner of the plastic tray was broke . I called Amazon . I told them the pigs were arriving the next day and I did t know what to do . That I didn’t want to spend $200 on a broken cage. They told me I would have to put out the cage n box for pick up ( which mind you weighs a ton, is almost 5 foot tall and I had it opened at this point . And that a new cage wouldn’t get to me till 5 days later. Some of the bars n such were slightly bent as well. This all happened from delivery. Amazon ended up taking $43 off the price if I kept it damaged . Which isn’t terrible ... but eventually from weight that broke plastic corner is going to keep cracking . Honestly I would have been happy to send pics of the broken pan, the bent bars n would have been happier if they sent me a complete replacement or even just the tray and let me keep the damaged cage since I needed it now, but that wasn’t an option. And with so many committing fraud, I understand . But I have never sent anything back out of hundreds upon hundreds of purchases through the years. Onto the actual cage . I took out the wire screen cause you don’t want that for guinea pigs . They sit deep in the pan, but honestly they prefer it, they feel safer n are prey animals , so feeling safe n hidden is good. I took the metal wire tray , cut it and made a nice second story for them . They had a lot of room for the 2 pigs on a single floor , but I like to do over kill. I would not put more than 2 full grown pigs in this cage . Even with the 2 the cage needs to be cleaned out every 3-4 days . They are pooping n peeing machines.Their house is loaded with stuff right now , we are just trying to figure out what they like and don’t like . Pretty much everything you see in those pics was bought on Amazon and I’m VERY pleased with all of it. If you have any questions just email me . In regards to the cage , I don’t think I’d put any animal on the metal rack, only maybe the smallest of bunnies and give them plenty of stuff to lay on to keep their feet off the wire . This cage would be too small for a large rabbit , unless you had it attached to a run or other cage . It’s tall without the metal rack in it , so if you built shelves and had a hammock , even a ferret would like this cage .

I loved this cage at first, but over time it has not been as sturdy as I would have liked. The bin underneath is nice and deep, but it's awkward to remove and that makes cleaning harder. It has also buckled in the middle since it has nothing to support it there. This means the bin isn't as secure in place as it should be. It does have a lot of room and is accessible through the front and top, which is nice. But the front door has nothing to hold it open, which makes it awkward to use. I usually sit on the floor and balance the door on my head. It is easy to wheel around, which is also a plus. In any case I've used this for awhile now and have decided to move on to a different cage, as it really hasn't met my expectations.

We love this cage!!! It offers so much room and play area for our bunny. The clean up tray at the bottom is great too. Easy to maintain and clean since bunnies make quite the mess daily. It was easy to put together and took no time at all and is very sturdy. We have bought several cages and hutches and none of them have worked out. THIS ONE IS AWESOME and we would highly recommend purchasing it!!

This cage is the perfect size for the orphaned kittens I look after every year. I wish the cage had 4 wheels that roll instead of 2 locking ones and 2 rolling ones. I contacted Prevue and they are sending me 4 rolling wheels for a reasonable price of $10 which covers shipping. But it was a bit of a nuisance to correspond and request wheels. I wish the top lid had a mechanism to allow it to stay open on its own when I need to get into it. It is good quality but could use more clear instructions on how to put it together. I would buy another one.
