It's way more expensive than the cheap bubble levels, but I found the bubble levels to be extremely inaccurate AND nonlinear! Luck of the draw there. But this this is super accurate and versatile. Used it to do a complex multi-link suspension alignment. Only thing to be aware of is that the magnet is large in diameter, so finding a magnetic, flat surface may or may not be problematic. I used brake rotors, but be careful because the rotors may not be flat enough or parallel to the wheel axis depending on how the magnet sticks to the worn rotor area.

There is no shortage of YouTube alignment videos with only a few being much better than all of the others. In order to be precise and accurate a +/- 1/10° digital camber & castor gauge like this Longacre unit is an absolute must have. Longacre also makes what looks to be an accurate bubble gauge as well, but without a digital readout it can only be but so precise. Most people seem to do fine without such an expensive handheld device, but it you are one of those people that have multiple vehicles and are serious about the accuracy of your front end then this tool works out to be an extremely inexpensive piece of kit over time.

the gauge is great would highly recommend but the magnet will NOT work on a wide five spindle. the individual magnets work against each other keeping it from staying on the spindle straight

Works great! Was able to install poly bushings on a C5 and do my own alignment using this (and a set of set of Longacre toe plates). The car handles remarkably better, tracks straight with good tread wear on track and street.

Awesome tool, worth the extra bucks if you do tour own alignments. Bought this as an up grade to a DIY alignment kit. Was well worth the money, very accurate and easy to use.

Very nice piece with digital accuracy for consistent, repeatable measurements. Super strong magnet held it very tightly to caster/camber wheel adapters I used. Case is nice for safe storage.

Super stoked with this gauge, great quality and versatility. Better than the description by far.
