Good value for a "smaller" set. Easy for slightly older kids to put together.
There are lots of small pieces, so these are definitely not for super young children. The complexity of the directions is pretty low, but kids under 6-7 might need some help as the direction pictures can be a bit wonky. (Like most things). One of the issues I have is buying LEGO sets because they are often overpriced for what you actually get. These Elves sets are good example of good value for the price. They are build something that my daughter loves to play with, and they don't break the bank. The eagle figure you build is this set is cute, and my daughter adores it. She especially likes pairing it with the Golbin Forest Escape here: https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Goblin-Forest-Escape-Building/dp/B0719DKTZ3/

The Eagle Getaway Soars
My granddaughters absolutely love the Lego Elves sets. They offer mystical creatures mostly not found in the rest of Lego realm, ranging from fierce dragons to adorable but mischievous bat – kitten creatures. The sets show good creativity and I love watching my granddaughters’ imagination go crazy as the play with their completed sets. And when I say completed, I should mention completed in a hurry. When they get a new set in hand, they don’t stop until it is finished. I hope the Lego Elves sets continue on, as my granddaughters cannot get enough of these underappreciated sets…. This set in particular, albeit small, was a big hit. The girls loved the Eagle, so much so I had to get one set for each of them.

Brother won't steal pieces
My niece (10) and nephew (8) love Legos but always fight with each other over whose is whose. I bought them each a Lego set for Christmas, giving this one to my niece because, though it's not too "girly," its girly enough that her brother won't steal the pieces.

Perfect
A little pricey but exactly what my daughter wanted for Christmas so it was worth it.
