Perfect for custom cable runs. I had no issues with crimping or contact. I do get reminded how much I hate making my own cables...

I didn't even know there was 10p10c (this type) connector, until I needed one to make a special cable. Had to buy a new crimper to crimp it, but it worked perfect.

If you have a device that requires the RJ50 plug, then this is what you will want to get. For my use, is to replace the broken plug of a cable that connects to a APC UPS to USB. The crippling was great and did not encounter any issues with the connectors grabbing onto the cable. When putting it into the port, it clicked in like it should and all the connecting pins lined up making a good solid connection.

I have a friend who owns a service station that does emission testing. His emission machine had a broken cable with what looked like an RJ45 plug on one end and a VGA plug on the other. To my surprise, it was a 10 pin RJ50. I had never known they existed. The cable was not Cat 5 or 6, but was solid strand 22 awg shielded round cable with 6 wires. They used only 6 of the slots and I had a fun time trying to hit the right slot for each color wire. After an hour of so I got it right and the repair works fine. Be aware you will need to buy a crimper that is designed for RJ50. An RJ45 crimper will not work. I did try to find a pass through RJ50, but apparently they don't exist. Good luck!
