Fantastic Book!
I heard Nikki on a local radio show and decided to buy this book as I knew that I really needed to change my diet. In my 60s, I had been experiencing bloating , terrible weight gain, and being very tired. Well, this book has totally changed my life. She explains everything so well and her diet is so simple to follow. I hesitate to call it a diet and , for me, it has been a total life style change. Lots of good recipes that are easy to make too. Someone called it a starvation diet. No way!! I am never hungry and ,believe me, I was always hungry before. Getting off the sugar has gotten rid of my bloating , my skin looks great and I am sleeping better than ever before. I've also lost weight especially from my stomach area which has been almost impossible.

Not User Friendly
Some good information, but the recipes and information that would be helpful for prepping the food is lacking.First of all, there is no shopping list for the 5 days. This coupled with the fact that there are partial ingredients (3/4 cup cucumber) means that you have to tally up everything for a shopping list. To make things worse, the guy version of the diet has different amounts. I ended up needing 3.75 avacados if I followed it directly.Instructions also could have been included to help prepare ingredients ahead of time. For example, letting you know that certain things (like dressings) will be used multiple times could save you time.Lastly, I would suggest reading the recipes ahead of time to find mistakes. Their instructions are usually lacking in detail. You have to read between the lines. If you are blending dry, cooked cauliflower with garlic and basil, you have to understand that without cream or butter, it won't blend easily. At that point, you need to know that it won't work and that you should have minced or crushed the garlic and minced the basil to get it to mix properly.Buy at your own risk. You have to do a fair amount of work that the publisher and author should have done for you.

I needed to do this cleanse a long time ago!
I first came across this book at the library, and liked it so much I bought it. I stuck to the 5 day plan very strictly and it worked as promised- my mom belly pooch is gone and I feel wonderful. At 48 years old, I feel better than I have in years! Even my eyes and skin look better. This truly is a detox and the author describes what you will go through so be prepared. Fatigue, nausea and being generally crabby are signs your body is getting rid of toxins. I went through all the negative symptoms and I realize I sorely needed to do this much sooner. This cleanse jump started my desire to eat a healthier diet, and I do now, all the time. And I thought I was eating healthy before, but over the years my sugar consumption was way more than I realized. Nikki’s recipes are all delicious as well. Get this and eat everything she says and you’ll be glad you did.

It changed my life - very easy and delicious recipes
If you follow me for a while you know that besides makeup- I’m really passionate about eating having a healthy lifestyle . (Wine doesn’t count ) I was never really unhealthy but I found I was eating always the same things over again & despite the fact that I was kind of healthy I was constantly tired & hungry . About two years ago I was looking for something that’s going to help me : - get a better understanding of food /nutrition - something I can commit to every day and it’s not a diet (they don’t work for me because as soon as I’m on a diet I want everything that’s not allowed)- getting new , balanced meal ideas with getting all nutritions that you need for a day , which is actually tastyI’ve been following @nikkisharp for 3-4 (?) Years now and I loved her ideas about infused water jars so I decided to give this book a try . (It’s also only like $12 so you can’t really lose ) and to make a long story short - this has changed my life the first time I did The detox was haaaard - but after two days how i started to see results and feel different - i knew I was in loveNeedless to say that since then I’m sticking to my mostly plant based lifestyle, with mostly fish, and I’ve never felt more energized in my entire life .It’s all about creating a healthy relationship with food and yourself and I’m so excited for the new book to come out.

Perfect for my pre-wedding diet!
My husband and I followed this diet for the two weeks leading up to our wedding. The first few days were really rough (it was the first time I've seen him get hangry and it was not pleasant) but once we got into a routine, we both started dropping weight and feeling better. Ultimately, we each lost about 10 pounds and generally looked and felt a lot less bloated.The recipes revolve around a small set of ingredients so everything felt like a variation on what you just ate but we did actually enjoy the food. We cheated a bit by adding salt which is not allowed but you do need a little something. We're about to do the diet for the second time and I'm looking forward to slimming down a bit for summer. We were able to sustain the weight loss for a few months last time and hope to have more long-term success this time around.

5 Day Detox: 230 pages of information and a lifetime to feel good!
This book is absolutely amazing! There is such an abundance of information packed in here, you'd think the book would be worth more, but it's not -- it's seriously a steal of a deal. I've done the detox before when Sharp first released her E-book versions, and I must say that this book contains so much more detail in information, recipes, and other general information (pre- and post- detox) now. It makes it so much easier to understand and follow the detox because we now have the knowledge of "why" we really need to cleanse our body and mind the way the [5 Day Detox] encourages. The recipes entailed are also very simple and convenient for students, stay-at-home mothers, busy bees (like myself, working 15-18 hours a day, and I still manage to follow the detox), and everyone alike. The ingredients are easily available, fun to prepare, and delicious to eat!What more can I say?

It’s a lifestyle change.
Not just another book, this book helps you to rearrange what your eating and help incorporate it into everyday life. It’s foods we should be eating everyday, that cleanses our bodies naturally. It is an amazing book, I have used the detox plan before when it first came out (on pdf 6/7years ago!), but this book included more recipes and information to grow you knowledge.

Awesome book and detox, recommended!
I've done the 5 day detox and it really does work! This book is full of excellent advice about healthy eating and lifestyle. The recipes are tasty and easy to make. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who feels sluggish and bloated to kickstart your way to health eating.

Disappointed. Might as well have bought a couple of ...
Out of a book of some 250 pages, only some 50 pages or so of recipes. Not what I wanted - I was hoping for a rich trove of recipes. Disappointed. Might as well have bought a couple of magazines for a lot less money.

Ich hatte mir vor ein paar Jahren bereits eine Internetversion des Detox Plans von Nikki heruntergeladen und ausgedruckt und war da schon total begeistert von Detox und vor allem Nikki.Das Buch ist noch einmal sehr viel detaillierter und enthält ein paar neue Rezepte.Ich mache regelmäßig eine Detox Woche mit Hilfe des Buches und habe viele Rezepte auch so einfach in meine tägliche Ernährung integriert.Ich kann das Buch nur empfehlen.Man muss allerdings Englisch sprechen können, das Buch ist auf Englisch verfasst.
