What a wonderful World!
If you read the first book, you won't be disappointed. The story line carries on easily from the close of book one.Water is becoming scarce, so our favourite characters are on a quest..... to discover who or what made the firewall?. Who lives there? and more importantly, can they find a way to cross over to the green and luscious environment, that is so very different from the hot barren dessert where they currently live. Can't wait for the next one !!!!!!

A really exciting book
I have trade the first book in this series. And this book was just as dynamic. Every page was like being in another world I loved Taimin and his friends who were all so different selena, lars, Vance ruth, all different people but came together, I burnt a lot of midnight oil reading this second book. For those of you who have read the first book do not miss this one. I can't wait for the next one. Absolutely. Brilliant.

a refreshing meld of sci-fi and fantasy
This series of books is unexpectedly enjoyable. Not knowing annoying about the first book, A girl from nowhere, I was dismayed to find that it had strong fantasy overtones - a genre that I rarely take pleasure reading. The books are well written, and I have enjoyed every moment of the two available books so far. Part sci-fi, part fantasy, these books are a refreshing change from the average sci-fi novels available and we'll worth the read. I will be purchasing the final book in the trilogy in February, and will attempt some of the other books from James Maxwell.

Another excellent read in a great trilogy
As the story comes together and new characters emerge, with changes in understanding the world they all exist in, this story becomes even more intriguing. The emergence of a new race and the secrets they have buried in the sand takes this story to a new level. Don't miss this book. I have already purchased the next book.

Gripping
A brilliant story, kept me in awe until the end. BUT be sure to read the 1st book in the trilogy first (A Girl From Nowhere), I did not realise that A World of Secrets was the 2nd book. but although I know how the story pans out the 1st book is proving to be as gripping as the second one.

Worth reading.
I have read the first two books in the series so far and although I did not find it gripping,I enjoyed the characters and writing style enough that I will complete the series when the third book is published.

GratRead.
This, the second book in the series, sees the main characters develop further as they travelled the Wasteland. The story itself is well written. I found it to be a "page turner" and look forward to reading the last book in the trilogy.
