Thank you for your question! The goat hair bristles are planted into the beech wood directly. No glue used in this case. As for the wooden bristles brush, the bristles are planted into the food-grade BPA-free silica, this is attached to the wood frame edge using a small amount of environmental glue. Thank you for your question! It is, during goat hair changing season the shedded hair is collected. then cleaned, desinfected and sterilized. Thanks again!

Q: There are so many brush/comb sets for either babies or adults. I am looking for something for my 4.5 year old. Would you recommend it for that age?

I bought the set for my infant but also use it for my 4 and 6 year olds. The goats hair brush is better suited for fine hair, but the comb and alternate brush are wonderful for my older kids who have thicker hair. An older child with fine hair would do well with the goat brush also.
