Nissini40 Flash for FUJI Mirrorless cameras, NI-HI40F

I bough one of these several years ago and have loved it ever since. It works great in TTL mode with my Fuji. I just bought another one.

PRO: flash piccolo e funzionale; sorprende per la potenza in un corpo così contenuto; i controlli analogici sono molto comodi; il sistema TTL funziona molto bene; ha le funzioni per essere utilizzato come flash secondario (in Manuale ma con quello principale in TTL) o come flash staccato dalla macchina (in Manuale, quello integrato fa da pilota); sincronizzazione fino ad 1/4000;è corredato da accessori utili.CONTRO: impossibilità di utilizzo al buio (i controlli non sono illuminati); controlli solo a passi di 1/2 stop (e non 1/3); led per video abbastanza inutili (solo fino ad 1,5m).Tutto sommato un buon flash, piccolo, leggero, potente e comodo, nonostante i piccoli nei segnalati.

What a fantastic flash which has opened new horizons for my X100S. If you own a FujiFilm camera and TTL bounce flash is your thing then this is what you need.Much as I love my X100S, photographing our little one indoors can be a frustrating experience. Our house is not especially well lit; our 'model' does not like sitting still; and the built-in fill flash is not always flattering. What I really needed was a good TTL bounce flash. The purchase was put off in anticipation of the long-rumoured new flash from Fuji themselves, and because of the high cost of this Nissin. However, when the Fuji's release date was put back 6 months - yet again - I thought enough is enough and bought this.I'm SO happy. It has exceed all my expectations. Basically, bouncing flash inside our house, I get near similar results with the X100S/i40 as my Canon 5D3 with EX430ii aboard. I can be firing at 45 degrees, straight up, at the side wall, at the back wall, it doesn't matter - there's always enough power to get a proper flash exposure in our lounge and other rooms.The above alone sealed the deal but there's several other niceties:- very compact and light- fast and easy to use (no menus to navigate)- bounce card and diffuser built in- can act as an optical slave- when acting as a manual optical slave, has a mode which will ignore a TTL preflash- continuous light built in (two white LEDs) with variable brightness level. Only available when the i40's dial is set to video mode- TTL or manually-set zoom 24-105mm- comes with neat protective pouch, and in that pouch is bundled a further Sto-Fen style diffuser (probably not an actual Sto-Fen) and a foot for the flash with tripod socket. There's room in the pouch for 4x AA batteries- if I remember correctly, it comes with a carabiner which I use to attach the flash (in its pouch) to my little camera bagAnother plus point is the head can be articulated into any position, which is more than can be said for my Canon speedlite.Anyhow, I love it because the results for bounce flash in the home are outstanding and it doesn't ruin the weight balance of the X100S.

Es un flash de fabricación impecable. De origen japonés aunque hecho en china, no te dejara frío. Es lo que necesitas para tu Fuji X.Los modelos como el Fuji EF42 son mayores y de una potencia similar, éste siendo mas compacto y con una manejabilidad altísima me parece mucho mejor. Puesto en cámara deja muy bien equilibrado el conjunto, incluso con una lente fija como un 35 o un 56mm.POTENCIA: con un Numero Guia de 40, la potencia real con el zoom de flash a 105mm es de f16 y 1/2 de EV a 1m. de distancia, lo cual es un dato impresionante teniendo 1/3 del tamaño del clásico Canon 580EXII o el Nikon SB900. Velocidad de reciclado es discreta pero muy buena, es de 3 a 4 segundos a maxima potencia.ACCESORIOS: Incorpora un difusor de buen tamaño que suaviza el destello, reduciendo la potencia hasta f5,6 y 2/3 de EV a 1m. de distancia. Trae un mini pie para el flash con rosca para atornillarlo a un pie de estudio si lo deseamos y todo en un funda de mucha calidad en la que puedes guardar flash y accesorios. Como cortesía Nissin también incluye un "mosquetón" para acoplar la funda a cualquier mochila, maleta o cinturón de trabajo.CONTROLES: Todos los controles son en la linea de FujiX, con ruedas de control directas y sencillas de manejar. Tenemos una rueda para seleccionar el modo de trabajo, TTL, manual, esclavo o vídeo (LED). La otra rueda maneja las potencias cuando estamos en modo manual, maneja el compensador cuando trabajamos en TTL y por supuesto el nivel de intesidad de la luz LED del frontal, cuando trabakamos en modo vídeo.ZOOM de Flash: El cabezal avanzado de este flash tiene un carril que aumenta y disminuye el haz de luz del flash, sincronizando de forma automática este haz de luz con la angulación de cámara, es decir, si tenemos un 35mm en camara el flash se ajusta solo para esta focal y asi con un rango entre 24mm y 105mm. Para una focal de 14mm podemos extender una pieza abatible en la cabeza del flash que expande aún mas la luz del flash. Existe la posibilidad de ajustar este valor en modo manual, por si se usan lentes analógicas con adaptador en la Fuji.RESUMEN: En mi opinión es el mejor Flash de mano TTL que le puedes poner a tu Fuji X, ya sea una XT1 o XE2 o Xpro1, por envergadura, manejo y potencia no tiene rival hasta ahora.Muy muy recomendable.El único pero es el precio, según las fechas surgen ofertas interesantes. si no hay prisa sigue el precio y te llevarás una joya!
