The Treats Truck Baking Book: Cookies, Brownies & Goodies Galore!

I got this as a birthday present for myself (#noragrets #namsayin) and have only had the chance to try out one recipe when I was visiting my parents, but it was my favorite thing to get from Treats Truck: The Pecan Butterscotch Bar. I had to substitute walnuts because we didn't have any pecans and it was still amazing. The only downside is that it turned my mom into a fiend for them and I had to cut her off when it was time for me to catch a flight back home. It's okay, though, I've talked to her since and she's bounced back from the withdrawal fine.TL; DR - I love this book and Treats Truck and birthdays and my mom.

Good easy to follow recipes, Enjoyed / used enough to I buy a second copy to gift out.I was sorry to hear the Treats Truck is no longer in business.

I bought this book for a friend that has a baking blog. I have also graduated from cooking school. I can usually tell from the recipes if they will work or not. this book is great for the inexperienced baker. it has tons of recipes and easy to follow instructions. my favorite thing about this cookbook is in the back it has recipes for sauces, frostings and icings and right next to the recipe it gives page numbers for other recipes in the book that it would be compatible with. it is a great tool for those looking to spend more time in the kitchen and have amazing results

I love baking and do so frequently to the delight of my family, friends, and co-workers. Over the past few months I have tried out multiple recipes in this "bake book" - from cookies to brownies to cakes - and they have all been winners. This weekend for the first time I made two batches of Kim's Mexican-chocolate brownies, one for a Cinco de Mayo party and one for a club meeting. They truly wowed everyone's taste buds. Multiple people said they were the best brownies they've ever tasted! And boy do I agree. Thanks Kim, and I look forward to visiting your Treats Truck when I'm in NYC!

I love this cook book. The recipes are super easy and are so delicious. I was lucky enough to go to Brooklyn and meet Kim in person. The Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich is my favorite.

Saw Kim featured on food network and looked her up on line. Fun recipes that are tasty and not complex to make - I have made the banana muffins three times in one week because they are so wonderful.

I have purchased a total of 5 of these books and given as gifts. Wonderful and easy recipes for children to follow as well.

I LOVE TO BAKE! After reading all the other reviews I have to agree that this book has very basic recipes...nothing really new. However, that's not to say that's bad. I love that it's a small book filled with comfort-like recipes, funky colorful layouts and lots of helpful hints. I have been following the Treats Truck ever since I discovered it randomly on a website about Food Trucks. I even tried to stop by the truck a few weekends ago in NYC but my flight was delayed and I missed it.The first day I got the book I ended up baking vanilla cupcakes with my friend's 2 year old daughter and she loved them! My teenage kids went crazy and bookmarked all the recipes they wanted me to try immediately. So far the oatmeal cookies were the only ones which were not positively reviewed. The chocolate chippers and trucker cookie sandwiches however were a big hit. I personally find the buttercream frosting too sweet (and I love sugar and things sweet!) but my kids loved it. At first I thought it was strange that there were no eggs in the chocolate chocolate cookies, but they were dense and tasty, and the recipe came out perfect.I haven't had time to make more recipes but the book is sitting on my kitchen counter waiting for me to try more!This is the perfect book for a beginner baker as it has all the baked goods people like with every day ingredients you would have in your pantry.

Ho conosciuto Kim quest'estate a NY, dopo aver assaggiato i suoi dolci favolosi mi era rimasta la voglia di poterli avere anche qui. Poco speranzosa ho cercato questo libro e..sorpresa..trovato!! E' in inglese, ma di facile comprensione. Molto carino e semplice, le ricette una vera bomba e c'è tutto quello che si trova nel truck.
