Another great Moen product
I got a grab bar to install on a shower for my mother. It has been increasingly hard for her to maneuver around in the shower. When I got the grab bar, the hope was, that one or two of the mounting screws would be in a stud but my memory of installing that shower 10 years ago is that there would not be. When I drilled a small hole to probe the existence of a stud I realized that this was futile. There was nothing there.Off to find another solution. DO NOT JUST ATTACH THE GRAB BAR TO THE ACRYLIC!!!!!!!!! You need to be able to steady a person with the grab bar. Having the acrylic break and the person crash down on the floor isn't an acceptable solution.Enter the Moen SecureMount Anchor. They come in a pair. Installation was pretty easy. Decide where you want to the grab bar, draw around the anchor point, remove the grab bar, find the center of that circle. Drill a 1-1/4" hole with a hole saw, follow the instructions and in less than 20 minutes you will have a grab bar installed SECURELY!! and not have to worry about falling in the shower by screwing the grab bar into the anchor disks that you have installed on the shower wall. This is a little bit expensive but:1. It works well.2. It is definitely well built. The anchoring plastic is heavy duty and has brass threaded insert cast into it. The anchoring metal discs are heavy, with sealing rubber/foam material on the back to keep water out. One thing I did have to do was drill out two of the three mounting hols of the grab bar to properly match up with the holes in the anchor plate. a small modification to make and I was done fairly quickly with that.

Worked great
Had to install a grab bar in a porcelain tile wall in the shower. I bought this as I expected to be in a hollow wall. I drilled 1/4” test holes to make sure and then the 1 1/4” diamond bits I also bought on Amazon. The drilling took the most time. The mounts were easy to install and are very sturdy. Much better than other methods. These also work in a stud.

Worked great for my fiberglass enclosure
I was installing grab bars in a fiberglass shower enclosure. I needed these anchors because the wall studs were so far back behind the enclosure wall that I would have needed 6 or 7 inch screws to reach. The anchors were easy to install, only took a couple minutes, but I recommend practicing the procedure a couple times before actually inserting into the hole. Once installed, they seem plenty sturdy for persons <300 lbs. These things work great, but I didn't give 5 stars because I think they are overpriced for home hardware you can only use once. Other DIY sites I checked were even more expensive than here. Note that you will also need a 1 and 1/4" hole saw designed for the material you are drilling (not included).

Excellent anchors for safety bars. Why skimp on fasteners on a SAFETY bar?
It is very rare to have studs line up where you need anchors for a safety bar. If you really want a safety bar to actually be safe, you need good anchors. I don't even TRY to get the bar attachment screws lined up with studs. These anchors are better than any molly anchors or toggle bots I have used. Many 'professionally' installed bars are fastened with incorrect anchors. If you are doing your own installation or having these installed for you, get these anchors and insist they are used properly.

Simple and strong
Perfect solution for a location without wall studs, if you have the clearance in the wall.

Great price and delivered as promised
A better price than I could find elsewhere and delivery was prompt and timely. This obviously needs to be used only with Moen products but it will work well for my purposes ...the instructions were easy to understand. It needs a 11/4” diamond drill which isn't always easy to find

Excellent product
A bit on pricey side, but this is an ingenious, well designed product. Anyone that is considering installing grab bars or other attachments to tiled shower should install these vs simply drilling holes and monkeying around with mickey mouse wall anchors which will fail in short order.
