This 8-quart stockpot/dutch oven is the perfect size for so many meals- soups, stews, spaghetti sauce, you name it. The hard anodized nonstick coating works beautifully. Nothing sticks. My favorite thing about this pot is how incredibly easy it is to clean with just mild soap and a sponge. While it says it’s dishwasher safe, I prefer to wash all my pots by hand, so I can’t speak to that. Still, the quality feels solid, and the glass lid is a nice bonus for keeping an eye on what you're cooking. For the price, it’s a great value, and if it continues to hold up well, I’ll definitely consider purchasing more from Cooks Standard.

The pot is very nice and tall. I used it to cook potatoes and do the mashing. It did a great job and was easy to clean afterwards. The build quality of the pot is fairly good, but the lid has a seem that I'm not sure will last more than a few years.

I'm hoping I still feel that way after I use it. So yes this review is possibly premature. I was so excited when I arrived today, just minutes ago! It's so beautiful and weighty, sharp looking! Came with a booklet of Instructions.. found that odd, but reading I learned no high heat, no food storage after cooking. Transfer leftover food to different container it says. And absolutely no scrubbing pot. Use soft sponge only! Hmm... Can't lie I'm a little concern now, but I'm hoping to still love it ! My last Dutch oven has gotten beat up over the years and as great as it's been it's just a bit too small. This 7 qt size is awesome! No food storage in it the refrigerator, even if you're just going to heat it up again the next day... That seems odd to me!

I needed a pot with flat sides and bottom (not curved) to make a rice and meat pilaf dish that you turn upside down onto a platter. This is perfect - especially because it is non-stick! Yes, I did notice the handles could get quite warm so I purchased some cheap handle covers from a site that rhymes with Bali, no more issues. It even survived my sister-in-law, who scraped one of those hand held mixers all across the bottom. Take note that this is a lower, wide pot vs a skinnier, tall pot. It is perfect for roasts, lasagna noodles, etc. It is good for dishes where you want more cooking surface on the bottom. It fits exactly on the larger burner of my glass stovetop. Enjoy!
