Better than Uni-Ball Vision Needle Micro Point but not better ...
Better than Uni-Ball Vision Needle Micro Point but not better than the Pilot V5 Hi-tecpoint RT. Compared to the Uni-Ball Vision Needle Micro, the Pilot Precise V5 is finer and doesn't bleed as much. However, the Pilot Precise V5 is not very comfortable to hold and the inkflow changes from when you first start using it to maybe after a paragraph or two of writing where the inkflow becomes heavier and the line isn't as fine as it should be and it starts bleeding through 70 gsm paper. It does have much more ink in the reservoir than the RT but I will be sticking to the RT in the future because the inkflow and thickness of the line is more consistent and there is no bleedthrough on 70 gsm. I bought the Precise because I thought it would save me more money but now that I've tried it, I'd rather spend more money on the quickly-used-up refills for the RT because of the RT's superior quality.

Can I have some ink now?
Pretty sure these have much less ink in them than normal Pilot v5 pens. They omit that window that let's you see the ink level under the auspices of a graphic. That is why they're cheaper. Anything to rip consumers off.

It scratches the paper, not smooth at all.
I decided to use Pilot this time as I was using Pentel in the past just for change. It was a drastic change. As some reviewers noted, this fine tip scratches the paper and there is a lot of friction. It makes writing feel like some kind of mini war with the paper and the paper cries all the time because it gets hurt. Returning it and switching back to Pentel.

This is what comforts feels like
This is not a pen. This is a gateway to creativity, a key to an entire parallel universe of pleasure, satisfaction, ideas, concept and organisation. This is the ink of your own personal vision. It is the extension of your dreams and the materialisation of your brain. It is much more than pen.

Best Pen Ever..
I have used Pilot V5 and V7 pens for at least 15 years since my university days. And, now I purchase these by the box for my work. These pens are very good for precise and beautiful handwriting. I love the consistent and even ink flow and handwriting is simply beautiful. Lately I have started liking V7 more than V5. Now Pilot have come out with many different pens, but this classic still remains my favorite. The point is very smooth out of box and totally smudge-proof. It requires no pressure and writing is very smooth and natural. These pens flow very smoothly and are comfortable to hold. The design is classic and has not changed for years. I know many people like me who have been using these classics for years. Many people at work started buying these pens as they see print like writing I produce from these pens. The only warning I have is that once you try this pen you may not like any other pen! Amazon price is usually better than local stores.
