Very helpful and resourceful
I like that she breakdown exactly what you need to do along with a plan to stay on track. She provides basic info that provides an understanding of what and why we should avoid or take and how it works in our system. I will be following this helpful guide.

Helped me quit junk food
I discovered dr Mindy (a doctor of chiropractic, not an MD) on YouTube and her cheerful attitude and enthusiasm prompted me to try this 45 day reset. I can’t say if the supplements did anything or were a waste of money, and some of Mindy’s assertions are just plain unfounded, so take some of this book w a boulder of salt. The 15 day “detox” wasn’t easy, but I did it w friends, which helped. Despite some of its inherently sus claims, the reset did get me off of processed foods, which has been my bane since the Covid lockdown, when apathy, fear and depression saw me eating pizzas, crackers and other garbage, that I was having a hard time quitting. This got me away from that stuff and cooking way more of my own food. And my friend has lost 15 pounds on this plan, and his bp is better. So I do recommend this book and this plan in general. Ignore the unproven elements of it and use it as a way to change some bad eating habits and I think you’ll find it worthwhile. Again, can’t say if the supplements do anything but ding you with a hefty price tag, but they may offer something. I was able to get thru Halloween without eating any of the candy I was passing out, and that’s, for me, pretty miraculous.

Do Something Different, Get Something Different
Super clear, intelligent and engaging read. I especially love that she didn't saddle me with 20 dense chapters of information I already knew. It's all very sensible, doable and, most importantly, easy. Obviously, you have to want to make these changes but really, if I want something different, I'm going to have to do something different, even if it temporarily cuts into my coffee, wine and socializing schedule. The "after the reset" info is very helpful and I love that she's sensible about how everyone has to do "real life" even as they keep an eye on keeping themselves healthy overall. The stories (especially her own) were very compelling and I really love that she has decades of real world results. Oh, and I was worried that she was going to give me a vegetarian or lowfat program ... not so! The plan is totally in line with my carnivorous nature. Whew.I am not a patient of Dr. Mindy's ... but I sure wish I could be. This book (and her Facebook page) will have to be the next best thing!

Preventative health for the win!
Full Disclosure: I'm a bit of a biased reader on this one. I know Dr. Mindy well and think what she's doing is amazing for humans everywhere. The Reset Factor is a must-read for anyone looking for THE solution to deteriorating health. Guys, the answer is (and always has been) diet and exercise. The problem, of course, is that there are a thousand books out there disputing just what kind of diet and just what kind of exercise matters. Dr. Mindy's method is tried and true and natural as can be. It works.Dr. Mindy outlines the steps to get your health back on track, no matter where you are in life. She's your teacher, your guru and guide, and your cheerleader on your path to health. If you find her prose to be enthusiastic, know none of that is fabricated. That's Dr. Mindy! She loves her patients and wants to make the world a better place with preventative health. There are a couple things that are mentioned in this book that I wish were explained more... like the brief mention of vaccines being no bueno (obviously this is a contentious topic) and the section about fasting. The book also seems to be geared more toward women than men, though I'm sure it applies equally well to both genders.Bottom line, if you're ready for a health change, read this book and get started on the reset right away. It's awesome stuff.

Good content and author, bad copyediting
I'm excited to have found Mindy, her YouTube and her book. As I'm reading the book, I find myself skipping over large sections to get to the point. There's a lot of Perd Hapley-esque redundancy in language. I don't need to read what you're going to tell me later, or repetitive content. Get to it. Also the book is written in passive voice rather than active and its causing me cognitive dissonance because the goal is to empower the reader, but I'm left stumbling over repetitions and will haves. I know I'm going to love the book and Mindy herself, but the editing does the content a disservice. It reads like a college essay at times, grasping for filler; which is unnecessary because the meat is worthwhile and brevity would be okay here.
