Top Gear 15 (DVD)

One of the best car shows ever made. Lots of good episodes. Highly recommend episodes 6 & 2 in particular. If you know cars at all you'll love it.

Ever since I discovered Top Gear about three years ago, I have religiously downloaded every episode from torrent sites the day they were broadcast in England. I love this show and I enjoy watching it more than anything else on TV.Of course, the legality of downloading the shows online is disputable and although it has been fine for years, I decided that I would show my support for the show by buying at least a few seasons after seeing they were available on Amazon. I have received both seasons 14 and 15, and season 16 is pre-ordered.Compared to the downloaded versions, the Blu-ray copies are overall superior. Aside from usual annoyances like the FBI warning and previews for other shows that show up on all disc-based movies, most of the music played throughout the different segments has been replaced by very generic (royalty free) loops; disappointing but fully expected and understandable, due to copyright restrictions from the record companies. Picture and sound quality is fantastic, especially compared to TV rips that are sometimes less than perfect.In short, I'd recommend these to any Top Gear fan and perhaps as a way to lure in others who have never seen this fantastic program.

As much as I enjoy watching Top Gear (UK) for the laughs, the episodes that really go into car history are usually my favorite. Whether it is when they are going to India on a trade mission in British Cars, or looking for some Muscle in the US, all I can say is thank you for the great show.I started watching around the same time as the incident with Jeremy, and while I agree that he should be fire, I do not think I will continue watching without this trio.For what it's worth Season 15 might be my favorite. The final episode can really hit you. Being from Michigan and seeing the car industry there crumble mad this particular episode hit close to home.If you buy it to stream, or if you buy the DVDs be ready to enjoy some television that was made to be fun.

I have only been a Top Gear fan for about 1 year now, but I cant get enough of the "Pokey Motoring Show on BBC2". Like a fine wine, Top Gear has been getting better with age. The hosts are on the top of their game in Season 15, and the 6 episode Blu Ray is an awesome set. Season 15 gives us such memorable moments as Jeremy flipping the Reliant Robin numerous times, and James taking a Toyota Helix up the side of an active volcano! The "Stars in Reasonably Priced Cars" are fun and interesting, boasting such names as Rupert Grint, Tom Cruise, and Cameron Diaz. The reviews are, as always, entertaining and reliable. The Blu Ray has the UK cuts of the episodes, so we get a bit more footage. Bonus material is vast and introspective, and we even get a look into Captain Slow's drive to the BBC Studio. In summation, this set if a worth while purchase for any fans of Top Gear.

Really enjoy watching the trio and now I look forward to watching The Grand Tour. First season was really good. Being a critic. I'm a proud American but Skinner on the show is horrible, he doesn't add to it and his comments are embarrassing. Celebrity brain crash is horrible too. Hire Ben Collins and call him The Stag also put the stars in a reasonably priced Lamborghini. Keep it with a England feel to it, that's what attracted me to Top Gear. Anyway Thank you Amazon for picking up the guys.

Well, this is the original Top Gear, with all the madness that entails. The episodes on these discs have not been edited so we can see what was not broadcast on BBC America.. Fun. Many folks (our) favourites are here; It has the Icelandic volcano, the new reasonably priced car, with welcome party, The Reliant Robin, of course. It also has the home made motor homes. A little something for everyone (If you like that sort of thing). I think it is well worth the price, the whole of Series 15 is here.

I bought this as a gift. I've seen the shows on TV. If you haven't seen Top Gear, you should. "How hard can it be?" is heard often, with the expected results. The producers challenge the three hosts with things that actually puts their life in danger, in some cases. In other cases they are asked to get ready for the challenge before knowing what it is exactly. Always, they are competing against each other. Think Three Stooges, British, Cars, and Large Budget. Need I say more?

Love Top Gear and bought all the seasons up until the 3 kings left to watch over and over again.

Season 15 definitely delivers the goods when it comes to information and critical consumer breakdowns. It features fabulous looking, futuristic vehicles and the hosts are genial, jovial blokes who know they're damn lucky to be indulging in their favorite fuel-injected pastime. And for all its slick and highly-produced polish, this is a down to Earth and quite funny show. Easily earning a Highly Recommend rating, the British prove that they can make Masterpiece Theater out of machines, manifolds, and MPH. Top Gear is terrific, and that's no tame traction control.

つい最近BSフジで放送された分ですね。今は１６を放送中でまもなく終了。英語の字幕が見れます。たぶん、アメリカで販売用のものです。ブルーレイでこの値段は安い。誰かも書いてたけど、NHKも見習って欲しいなー。値段安くして皆にみてもらうのが、NHKの存在意義になっているのでは？
