I was hesitant to purchase these after reading a few reviews about the quality of the magnets. However, i bought these to replace the $10 plastic jaws i already bought on amazon, which had junk magnets that fell out and were really weak. These yost ones do the job for the most part, and the tolerance the jaws were manufactured to is the highlight. Keeping these.

What more can I say. Must have for your vise.

The strip magnets are too weak. These need to have rare earth magnets like Neodymium magnets. I need the aluminum faces for protecting parts, but these constantly fall off the vice jaws.

These are probably ok for a hobby shop but the magnets are not very strong

I like my Yost vise, these complement it nicely, the price is right and they will save you from marking up softer metals and surfaces. You may still want a plastic set for really soft materials.

Magnet isn't the best but who cares? They are long enough for a bigger vise(mine is a 5") and are exactly what you need if you have something you don't want marred up in the vise.

Excellent quality jaws

Well made and a perfect fit on my 865-B. The magnetic strip is a nice feature -- not a very strong magnet, but adequate for holding the jaws in place.
