Yizhi Miaow Aquarium Decorations Medium Fish Tank Decor Tree Log/Driftwood, Decorative Resin Ornament. This log is a great size and shape for small fish. It does have some jagged edges on the inside, so I would not use it for a male betta, or a particularly finny female betta, or long-tailed fancy guppies. But for shorter-finned female bettas, short-tailed guppies, small tetras and barbs, and most other small tropical fish, this log is great. It's only open at one end, so I would not use it for fish that might be aggressive unless they have the tank to themselves, as there is no escape route for a trespassing fish if they get caught in someone else's log (e.g., not for dwarf cichlids and betta sororities). Anyway, it's a good size and quality for the price, and adds some nice natural-looking decor to my tank. It would take up a good bit of space in a 5-gallon, but it's perfect as a generous centerpiece for a 10-gallon, and still big enough to be a worthwhile addition to a 20- or 29-gallon. I only dock a star for the jaggedness on the inside, which is unfortunately to be expected in most aquarium decor, and the fact that it's only open on one end.

Let me start by saying I’ve had this product for two months now. I have a 10 gal tank, and I felt this would be a good size. However, the product was still a little smaller than I would have liked. Also, the paint/coating is coming off. My fish do like the opening in the bottom, but only one fish can fit down there at a time. Additionally, the “fake” plants attached fall off very easily. One was already off when it arrived in the mail, and I was able to pop the other off with no problem. It was a good starter, but I will definitely do something different on my next go around.

I anticipated this product after doing my search in various pet stores. The concept is nice & it would’ve matched nicely with my new decor and live plants but I felt the edges were a little jagged and I’m afraid of my young fish, who are now growing in size, may hurt themselves. I would not want to do that to them.

I ordered 2 caves and returned one as I had to see which was best for my fish the item that was returned was not dunked in water as I had bought a new fish tank so I had to see which went best.I returned the item and twice now the seller has attempted to charge me for the returned item. THIEF!!!!!

I was very skeptical about getting this since there were no reviews yet.Its a good size and my fish looooove the log. So much that . This is a great price for what you get also. But I am only giving 3 stars because it was cracked and chipped on one of the entrance.

Not bad... if you don't mind half of the paint chipping off into the water of your aquarium a month after the purchase. Waste of money.

i put the logs and plants in my aquatic frog"s tank, and he loves the log hides! they're the perfect size for him. i definitely would recommend these for aquatic frogs or fish, especially since the price is lower than one decoration at the pet store.

Even in my 10 gallon tank, this would have looked minuscule. Definitely check the dimensions before ordering for your tank.
