Cool little product
This is a cool little product. I really like it for my 12-string acoustic guitar. The good: easy to use. So many alternate tunings. Can be used with any stringed instrument. It is accurate. I don't know if it is perfect, but I compared it to my headstock tuner, and 3 of the strings are dead on, and 3 are just a little bit off. I don't know which tuner is wrong, and which is right, but they are incredibly close, and my ear can't tell the difference. Having a metronome included is cool. The Bad: It is a little awkward to use on the G,B, and E strings on guitars with headstocks with 3 pegs on either side of the headstock. G is the hardest to do, but you get used to it. I doubt there is any way they can improve that, so it isn't really a big negative for me. I haven't used the feature yet, but I think where this thing really pays for itself is alternate tuning. It doesn't require a lot of thought to quickly get to an alternate tuning. It does require some initial programming, but the menu is pretty intuitive, so not an issue. I haven't used the winding feature yet either, but I am sure that will be my favorite feature. The metronome is cool. I have only used it once, but I sat it on the stand next to me, and the vibration feature made it spin in a circle. I was afraid it was going to fall off the stand, but it just sat there and spun around. all in all, excellent product.

Great gift for a Guitarist
My Hubby is a guitarist. He knows how to tune a guitar but I bought him this and he loves it. So easy to use and cuts tuning time in half. Perfect gift for any Guitarist.

Tunes up better than snark
Tuning up a guitar in the back of a dark bar can be a pain, often i found that clip on tuners like snark can vary greatly. With the R3 You can select your instrument, key, and then position the tuner on the peg and hit the string-- it will wind your string and do micro adjustments till you feel a buzz, go to next string and repeat- very fast. can also do other instruments like mandolin etc. just make sure you hold it firmly when tuning. Spot on for me. also has a winder feature for changing strings, and a metronome. very handy little device, been using it for gigs for 6 months now and works very well!

This little gizmo is awesome!
Man if you have money to burn, this little guy is cool.Multiple profiles can be added. Multiple instruments. Pre-installed tunning settings (Drop steps, G Major, etc.). Hz change, Capo fret#, etc.Anyone looking at this has done some research (or should) based on the heavy price alone.Once purchased you can download and update the app and Roadie3. Customize your own tune settings via the app.I use it for personal use.So, I'm never in a rush. My settings are on the "Accuracy" and "Tune-up"."Fast tuning" that is sloppy on top of "Tuning-down" SHOULD NOT even be an option in my opinion. When and where would you ever require/want that combination? Makes no sense. Quick-tune it by ear if you don't care, and save yourself $150 bucks. Anyways...The only issue I have run into when tuning is that it will beep and stop working stating the error "On the wrong string" when I'm on the correct string. Has only done it a handful of times but can get kind of annoying.Works well with a noisy background. Does not seem to be any type of interference when using it.Has a re-string wind-up future, haven't used it yet but cool to have. I have only charged it once. Last pretty long for personal use, I'd say. If you were tuning a shop full of guitars every day plus re-stringing multi guitars every day and utilizing the metronome for a period of hours, your results may differ. The metronome future IMO could be cut from the chopping block.I would rather see the metronome feature and the "fast tuning" and the "okay to tune down" setting removed from the Roadie3 and have an "Open Ear" tunning feature that does not have to be logged in to the app in order to use it. Like an app, you would do/use on your cellphone but built into the Roadie3. That feature is there WHEN connected to the app. That would seem like a better solution for a fast tune. Turn it on, scroll down, click the OK arrow, set it down next to you, and watch the graph as you pluck and tune. Most guitars people buy nowadays have a built-in tuner, but not all do and not all are created equal. ---- This is just my opinion, I ain't nobody special. It seems to be pretty accurate. I have tested it against multiple tuners. The Roadie3 tuning seems to match perfectly with my Fishman built-in tuners.Expensive, yes. Cool, yes. Needed, meh. Awesome to have, yes!Should you buy one, definitely.

I LOVE THIS THING!
I have been playing guitar for over 50 years, and I have always found tuning to be a chore for me no matter what kind of tuner I had, with the exception of the Gibson G-Force automatic tuner on a Les Paul I had a few years ago. That worked quite well. The Roadie is even better than the G-Force was. If you use it right, which is quite easy to do (read the instructions), it works great. I love it. It makes tuning any instrument with strings a breeze to tune, and it really only takes about 30 seconds to tune any guitar. And, it is accurate. It has made tuning every guitar I own super easy to tune. It seems quite rugged too, with a rubberized outer shell. I'm sure it will last a long time, but if it does ever break or wear out, I will buy another one in an instant! By the way, I have charged it once when I bought it, and have tuned about 40 times on the same charge and it still does not need a charge. Great product!

Great tuner
Does a great job. Worth the money. Easy to use.

Right in tune
This thing does what it says it does it will keep you in tune no problem. It’s able to get the 45 and six strings tuned much easier than in particular the one and two strings. It seems to stretch the strings when tuning, and will take extra time to calibrate itself.A surprisingly helpful function is when changing strings and using it as a winder. The three different speeds are very handy. Make the process easier.

Buggy, impossible to read.
Nightmare to use. Tiny screen is illegible. After using this tuner for a week, the greatest flaw is the way it progresses to the next highest string without the possibility of stopping it or going back. I popped two strings being on on the wrong tuner, especially when the high tuners are on the other side of the head. I also wonder how accurate the tuning is. Lastly, it is useless for a 12 string guitar. It just stops working. In sum, it’s better than manual winding and tuning. I wish it fit the tuning keys better because it’s got enough torque and speed to bankrupt you.Edit. Since I received an email from the company complaining of my low rating, I will drill a little deeper into the tuning limitations. The motor is too fast and jerky to hit the note. It’s easier to use a clip on tuner and make small adjustments. The winding function is downright dangerous with the upper springs. It sings like a demon and you have to take it off before it pops a string. If you have guitars that are basically in tune, and the tuners are on the side facing the player, this gadget works fairly well for casual playing. But if you are restringing a guitar, it can’t find the right note.

Werkt heel erg goed!
