Good product, does as claimed. $12.99 is too much for the quality though

After reading the reviews, I worried if this magnet would be strong enough for my dishwasher since the cover of my dishwasher is plastic, but my fridge magnets would stick on my dishwasher, so I ordered to give it a try. I worried even more when this arrived and I felt how heavy it was. This is NICE heavy quality metal for the money.I am happy to say that I worried for nothing. The magnetism on this is plenty strong enough to hold it in place and doesn't even come close to feeling like it will fall off. To anyone worried if it will stick to your dishwasher, just try your fridge magnets on your dishwasher to see if they will stick before you order this. If your fridge magnets won't stick, then this won't either. If you have high-grade stainless, this probably won't work, but honestly, if it hadn't stuck to my dishwasher, I would have simply super-glued it on. My dishwasher is about 8 years old and this magnet is the nicest "feature" on the dishwasher. It stepped up in class just to have this affixed to it.Now, no more asking if these dishes are clean or dirty and it's big enough, anyone can clearly read it. I wondered how it wouldn't rotate out of position, but I looked at the back and there is a little "track" carved out of the magnet for this turn clockwise and counter-clockwise to change from clean to dirty and vice versa. It will not simply spin all the way around. They could be asking $20 for this and it would be worth it in my book. Very happy customer and this thing will probably last a lifetime.

I really like this magnet! I bought it for the usual reason: are they clean/not? And I really wanted to negate the (silly) excuse of "Honey, I just wasn't sure, so I wanted to wait until you got home to ask if they were clean." Yeah, right.This feels of high quality. Rather than a simple spinning wheel, you can turn this from "clean" to the left to show "Dirty" and back, but it doesn't just spin around. Another person saw this as a negative, I see it as well-made, but FYI and you can decide.This magnet has a circumference of a typical soda can, if that helps with visualization. The wording is slightly etched into the metal (wording is black), but not super-deep. I think this was a genius design plan, so over time there will be no gross build-up of kitchen gunk inside of it. The magnet lies flush to the surface, maybe sticks out 1/4 inch, if that.For reference:I have a black dishwasher and knew it would be magnetic. Feel free to stick a magnet on yours (most chip clips have them) to be sure. But if you have stainless steel (the real kind) be aware that it may not stick, as that surface is not magnetic. There are suction versions out there, so don't give up.Overall- I ordered this hoping the quality was as good as the pictures show, and it is!
