PravanaChromaSilk Vivids Neon Blue

I've been using the Pravana Vivids Violet in my hair consistently for almost 5 years and I absolutely love it. I leave it on my hair for about an hour, wash, and it lasts about 6-8 weeks before fading (I wash with sulfate free shampoo about 3x a week). I decided to mix things up a bit and wanted to do a gradient from blue to purple so I figured Pravana blue would be a sure thing. First thing I noticed was that the texture/formula of the blue is a lot different than the violet. I got the blue and violet applied to my freshly bleached hair and let it sit for 2 whole hours. I washed my hair, let it air dry, and discovered that the blue didn't stick at all in my hair. It turned out a disgusting grey and green mess that faded to beautiful violet. I had work the next morning, so at 9pm I decided to mix the blue with some of the violet (I didn't have enough violet to fix the mess) and applied that to my hair, let it sit for an hour and washed it out. The color did stick this time and was a beautiful periwinkle color. Unfortunately the periwinkle washed out after 3 washes so I'm back to all violet for now and I'm on the hunt for a blue that will actually hold up. I'm pretty disappointed in Pravana on this one!

This blue is just amazing I am obsessed! Neon blue is so vibrant and honestly just makes my heart happy ! It has lasted me so long and fades into a beautiful mint green . Love that the color doesn’t stain the things around me ! I adore this product ! P.s such a beautiful color compared to Karol Gs color

I love Pravana this is only the second time using there colors but they work like a charm and last longer than anything I've used before (manic panic, arctic fox, splat, this list goes on and on). This time I used Neon blue at the scalp, then blue topaz and blue at the bottom to create a look I am calling Stormy Seas. After bleaching my hair there was still reddish overtones scattered through out and when the blue topaz was applied it turned gray (i have no idea why). The last picture is 1 month after coloring, i do not use a color fast shampoo (i'm broke and use the normal stuff i have haha) and hate cold/cool showers (all things you should do when having color and this stuff stays wonderfully). Will definitely be using Pravana for all my color needs.

The box was pretty banged up when I received it, but the product was sealed and all in one piece.I mixed it with other colors to get the shade I wanted so I cannot comment on the resulting color, but the paste seemed much less turquoise than I was expecting, and more like an aqua.

While it says neon blue, I didn’t find it to be too over the top. It was exactly the color I was looking for!
