The Black Widow: The true crime book of the year

That this woman had only concern for herself, nobody else.
So, we go from a young innocent girl who finds out her boyfriend is a married man...'It's over. You're a married man,' 'Your poor wife, and child!' to going on to be a mistress to two married men, Brian Thorogood and Ron Cook. Didn't think of their poor wives and children though. Didn't tell them to 'go and be a proper husband'. It was all about what you could get. Then we have the 'aching loss' of her husband Mickey, a loss that 'would be with me for the rest of my days'. On the day of his funeral she still managed this little gem 'Ron looked at me up and down. I could see he liked what he saw.' Bloody hell woman! Have you no shame? You chose the man you orchestrated your husband's death, over your children. Selfish, vain, arrogant and self absorbed. Thinking yourself as beautiful!!! You're no Maureen Flanagan........

this a must read BLACK WIDOW sums this all up you won't be disappointed at all
this book was written from the heart all the way through the loss of a loved one thanks to the police how Lynda turned to crime and was a good driver by all a counts how she was in another abusive relationship from what tuned out to be a married man this book was written for the 60s /70s era so all those idiots who weren't around in 60s haven't got clue what life was like need to stop criticising

Incredible story - well worth reading
Incredible story and I could not put the book down ! So unusual to see a life of crime from a woman's perspective - the author had a tough time and in parts I found the story very sad so it was great to at last find a happy ending. I would definitely recommend this book.

Good has Kimberly Chambers and Jessie keene
I have to limit myself on this one, normally when I get into a good book can't put it down, this read is more than good it's bloody fantastic, I'm a cockney girl myself so relate to the life style there's nothing like a real cockney you have a mate for life, sadly had to move up north, always getting told about my accent that I'm proud of, once a cockney always a cockney, and Linda Calvey proves that, when she gets out of bed in the mornings the devil shouts christ she up, good on ya girl and God bless
