THE AIRCRAFT BOOK
P**K
Great Book
Gives an excellent illustrated overview on lots of aircraft (including helicopters, gliders and others) through out the decades, with interspersed more detailed write ups on manufacturers, engines, people and aircraft. Would recommend for young and old alike. Cover adds the heavy quality feel with its embossed foil detail for the aircraft front and back and textured surface.

A good size with lots of large images showing good detail
As per the other reviews, this is a superb book for anyone with an interest in aviation. A good size with lots of large images showing good detail. It doesn't overload you with masses of information so makes for easy reading. A great book to pick up and flick through when time permits for the busy person! ... and the textured front cover adds a little bit more to the overall quality and feel of the book.

Missing.
The artwork in this book can only be described as superb but there is apparently one glaring omission. The most successful British WW2 naval aircraft with a string of successes from Taranto to disabling the Bismark was the Fairy Swordfish, the original "Stringbag". Sadly there is little mention of this aircraft.

All you want to see about planes!
I bought this for my nephew who was joining the RAF. It got great pictures and factual information on both historical planes both military and domestic. A nice hard back book thatβs a coffee table must for plane enthusiasts!
