The Unicorn Cookbook : Magical Recipes for Lovers of the Mythical Creature

I just received my copy of the unicorn cookbook and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. It is perfect for anyone looking to host a unicorn themed party, but also has a variety of other ideas that can be applied to other themes too. Outside of cakes it also contains healthy smoothies, mocktails, ice cubes, lollies, ice creams and the list goes on. The great things about this recipe book is there are images of the final products on every recipe and the is a wide range of difficulties so something for everyone. The step by step guide makes the recipes easy to follow. The unicorn names at the front are a really nice touch!

For someone who doesn’t bake a lot, I thought it would be a good idea to try and do something different. I originally came across this book in John Lewis, but they were charging about £12 for this, thank god for Amazon! At first, looking at the different cakes and treats in this book, I was expecting it to be really difficult to follow and thought I would mess up somewhere down the line, however I was mistaken. The recipies are easy to follow (even has little rainbow difficulty rating so if you’re new to baking like me, you know what you’re capable of before you start!) I’ve tried two recipes from this book and they’ve turned out super pretty. I would totally reccomend if you love glitter and pretty colours as much as I do. My house parties will be so much more colourful from now on!

A superb cookbook, the recipes are unique and plentiful. Brought as a present for an 11yr old unicorn lover and she got to work straight away making a few of the recipes. The recipes are generally easy with a few that require more technical ability, but that's great for the budding chef. It's got a great selection and easy recipe instructions. I was delighted with the purchase as I knew it was going to be the great hit it was. I would absolutely recommend n so much better than buying toys. even when her unicorn phase has passed (assuming it does) she will still enjoy colourful recipes for years to come.I would 100% reccomend this cookbook for budding unicorn enthusiasts

The main theme of this colourful book is multicoloured food and lots of sugar. Very few 'unicorn' recipies (i.e. ones where you make something looking like a unicorn). I now know that the term 'Unicorn' really means multi-coloured food (and lots of sugary sparkly sweets). If you want to cut out sugar, this is not the cookbook for you. For the odd occasion you may want to produce a very sugary/colourful recipe for a special occasion, there are plenty of free recipies out there on the web for you. Save your money, download a recipe and use the money this book costs to buy the ingredients for your well-earned treat.

This book is amazing! There are colour pictures which I think for a recipe book is really really important (couldn't very well imagine a unicorn recipe book without colour haha).The book is split into very useful sections which makes it easy to navigate and there is a very useful glossary and list of items and where to buy them that are used throughout the book. If you can't find what they use, there are alternatives offered.This will make an amazing gift for anyone who is obsessed with unicorns and baking.
