Great lighter but it scratches easily
Great heavy duty zippo lighter.Beautiful chrome finish. Only thing it scratches easily,I made the mistake of putting it in my pocket with some change and now it’s all scratched up.

Best Zippo Ever! (Polished Armor)
A great lighter! This is by far one of the best zippos I've ever had!!It is the polished armor zippo and so much stronger than a normal zippo.

Super heavy duty armor zippo lighter!
I collect zippo lighters for hobby and doing flipping, lighting tricks. I saw this armor lighter and wanted it for my collection. Of course I wanted super shiny chrome for the brilliant shine and good grip when doing tricks. I can say this lighter is way different than the regular zippos. It is much heavier and the distinct clink sound when opening the cover sounds different. When I opened the cover and pushed the sides together it doesn't bend and give like the regular zippos. The walls are thicker than the regular zippos and it feels heavier. I didn't do much tricks on this one because it feels very heavy and in the past I broke a couple zippo covers. Since the cover on this one is heavier I was thinking it might fly off easier with the heavy weight. This armor series is very nice and durable and has a nice bulletproof name to stand behind it. You will be happy with this strong lighter. I bought a regular chrome zippo also. Side by side comparison you can see the difference in thickness when opening the lid to look at the wall thickness. Two very different clink sounds when opening. I use the regular one for my tricks. It's also cheaper than the armor. Just by looking at it closed they look identical until you hold it and feel the weight difference and open it up. Chrome shows fingerprints and smears a lot from the oils on your hand and will show scratches easily. Unlike the brushed steel that is slippery when gripping and doesn't have that brilliant shine that the chrome has. You could probably use the chrome zippo to signal for help out at sea or stranded hiking its so shiny. Very nice zippo!

Decent lighter
This Zippo lighter is nice enough, and well made enough to merit a five-star review. So why is it only getting four stars? Because for some inexplicable reason, Zippo is refusing to produce a butane gas insert for these lighters. Oh, they do have a 'Zippo branded' butane gas insert for their lighters, but these inserts are not made in the US (and being US made is Zippo's claim to fame, first and foremost), and regrettably, these gas inserts (such as they are) have a horrible well-deserved reputation for being quite unreliable. And this unreliability sort of defies the whole purpose of buying a Zippo! Therefore customers who like butane gas lighters either have to pay twice (once to buy the lighter equipped with the original naphtha insert, and then again to pay for the gas insert), and on top of that deal with the unreliability of these 'Zippo' gas inserts, or just have to put up with the original naphtha inserts, and their inconvenient maintenance requirements (such as the need to replenish the fuel every couple of weeks- as naphtha is a pretty volatile fuel which evaporates readily), and the smell of the ignited naphtha which can ruin a cigar for example.

Reliable and Cheap!
Pros:+ Armor casing is 1.5x thicker than normal Zippos+ Thicker casing is noticeably sturdier than the ones found on standard Zippos+ Classical Zippo construction+ Shiny (Yes, I'm a simpleton)Cons:- Scratches are painfully visible- Fingerprint magnetWarning: The hinge is liable to break if you're not careful and it's the most sensitive part of the unit. I've had the hinge on one of these break in the past but that was likely the result of years of mistreatment. They're extremely sturdy otherwise, provided you don't abuse them.No to sound like a paid spokesperson but you really can't go wrong with a Zippo. These are lighter you can (and should!) become attached to. They require little maintenance and will last obscene amounts of time with a little care.Side note: Zippo has an amazing warranty on their lighters; they will fix any Zippos you send in for free (seriously!). The mailing address and instructions are available on the Zippo website. Just be ready to wait a few weeks for them to send it back. They do an excellent job of repairing the cases and will replace the lighter insert (the unit inside the casing) when you send it in.

Beautiful Lighter. Polished like a mirror.
Heavier in the pocket of course than a standard zippo but I like that heavier feeling to let me know its there. And its also going to tollerate more bangs and bumps before I feel like I need a new one.I don't even smoke but I like the idea of having a well made, dependable lighter with me at all times, especially while out hiking. You just never know when you are going to have to spend a night or two out there and need to build a small fire to keep warm or signal with. (and yes, I was a Boy Scout.....many many years ago! LOL)

Beautiful!
Comes ready to go out of the box. The polish is fantastic on it. The quality is really nice, and I love the sound it makes when I open it. My only problem is the hinge is a little wobbly.

Its a zippo 🤷♂️
I’ve always loved zippo lighters, the feel, size and style of them. The 1941 replica in brass is my favorite but after receiving the chrome armor one opened a debate. The heftiness of it just feels of better quality and the sound of flicking it open and close hits like a tune i love of zippos. 🇺🇸
