Some are overly familiar but as a whole the book is a great pleasure to acquire and read

Some of the usual suspects - Peter Hinwood has already been twice on the front cover of The World of Interiors, plus the cover of English Eccentrics - but even then, gorgeous pix of a classic interior. Pierre Le-Tan ... ah, those textiles and carvings ... Min Hogg isn't really haute bohemian, however large the glass of gin. And the cover pic of eternally-handsome Andrew Allfree's French chateau is beautiful but not bohemian at all. However it's a scrumptious treat, some of these pages ARE exactly haute bohemian so it's all in the mix. Enjoyable and eminently re-readable, as a good illustrated book should be.
