Sands of Time

I can only echo the excellent comments provided by the others prior to mine. Every Song (rare feat) has excellent lyrics, vocals, harmony,... each song tells a story be it Reflective, Partying, Love, Lost Love, betrayal, acceptance,... I'm certain there's better Album/CDs, I just can't name one?I've actually read the lyrics on an occasion or two, they even read like a well written short story (on some).If you're new to the 80s and interested in the Club/R&B category, start here, turn to Loose Ends, make a Pit stop at Prince/Time, check Chaka Khan-Chaka-Chaka-Chaka,...don't sleep on Anita, and Say "Hi" to Sade, ask somebody about Gap Band/Con Funk Shun/Full Force/Cameo/Lutha/Midnite Star, oh and catch MJ before he started calling himself the "King of Pop":):)

I will admit. In the past I have purchased music supposedly brand new and received and used beat up CD. So I was expecting a very beat up CD, and to my surprise, I received a never been open mint condition CD. Very happy with my purchase, and how fast I received it.

I enjoy my two disc CD from The SOS BAND. I wasn't expecting a second cd with this package. But when I received the cd in the mail. I opened the cd and notice Disc One with all the songs from the album, SANDS OF TIME. Disc Two, is like the B side. The extended versions of The Finest, Borrowed Love, Even When You Sleep. Plus, a background on the album as well! I will definitely buy from Amazon again. Thanks soo much!Monica M.

I love the S.O.S. and have their Greatest C.D. Enjoy all of their songs . This C.D. is one of my favorites and I simply love the voice of Mary Davis . If you love great music you must buy this C.D.

One of my favorite albums from the late 80's. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis hit a home run with this one.

"Sands Of Time", along with "Just The Way You Like It" are two of the best albums the S.O.S. Band released during the mid to late 1980s. This was when R&B was at its best. So many memerable songs from this album, including "Even When You Sleep", "The Finest", and "Borrowed Love".

Absolutely brilliant cd, I like reissue albums to include 7 inch versions as alot of cds these days feature odd versions or strange edits and are completely different from the ones u bought years ago on 7 inch vinyl.

I see a lot of people complaing about the sound quality of the Tabu Re-Born CD's, I have nothing to compare this with and therefore I think the sound quality is very good.Sands of Time is an essential synth funk album full of great hooks and very catchy melodies. For me, very few albums capture the synth funk sound so well, and this is one of them. Great stuff!
