I love this book
I’m a big fan of Katie and was on the fence about purchasing yet another cookbook (in general, I have 100’s…). But this book is really great and I’ve read it cover to cover and the only thing that makes me mad, is “how do I have time to make every single recipe!” Most cookbooks have a few recipes your really dying to make, but in this book, I want to make ‘em all! It’s everything the title says “it’s not complicated” these are easy, simple to follow recipes and one’s everyone will enjoy (there’s a variety of meat and meat free recipes). I love it.

Recipes You’ll Actually Use!
First; to address the issue of missing instructions for p. 78/Creamy Spinach Artichoke Pasta. The full recipe is online at Today.com (March 23, 2021). I easily found it by googling it, then screenshot the instructions. Now, for the cookbook itself! I just got it so haven’t had a chance to try any recipes yet. But I have skimmed through all the recipes. It’s generally easy for me to know what a recipe will taste like by reading it. This cookbook has so many recipes I want to try! I guess I’d say it’s the very best of quality comfort food. The photographs are beautiful & the many of the finished recipes have an elevated appearance. I’m an experienced home cook & can follow complicated recipes that require advanced skills. But why spend a lot of time/money/effort when you can make something equally delicious 😋 with a great straight-to-the-point recipe (unless you’re just in the mood to cook as a creative “project”)?This is a cookbook that cooks of any level can use to prepare tasty, attractive, healthy foods. I can tell this is going to be my current go-to cookbook! I highly recommend it to anyone, from beginners to skilled cooks! Also, it would make a great gift!

So Far, So Delicious!
Although I have been cooking for decades, I can't say that I have every been an enthusiastic cook. When the lockdown happened in March of 2020, I began to realize that cooking would, by necessity, become a regular feature of my daily life. . A year later, I had begun to tire of my own cooking and happened to see Katie Lee demonstrating one of her recipes from this book on Instagram. It looked easy and delicious, and that description would fit every recipe I have cooked from this book thus far. I have made the Chicken with Croutons, Lemon Pasta, Broiled Shrimp (multiple times), Mushroom Bolognese (delicious), pan pizza, and others. My partner and I have loved every dish and I have found a new appreciation for cooking again. Thanks, Katie!

Needs Fewer Skillet Recipes
I love Katie Biegel. The recipes in this book look amazing and not complicated as the title implies. Beautifully photographed also. That said, I feel like every entree requires cooking in a skillet, which invariably trips my smoke alarm, so I can’t make a lot of these recipes as I live in an apartment. I also don’t have a grill. I wish she had included some alternative cooking options. Side note, my book arrived with a dirty, scuffed cover. That’s on Amazon.

Missing recipe?
I have liked everything I have made, but I flip to the recipe for creamy spinach artichoke pasta. Sounded delicious. The description made it sound amazing but most of the directions are missing. I’m not sure how to prepare the rest of it or how long to bake it or anything like that. Is there anyway to get the rest of those instructions?

Great, simple recipes that don't take forever...I want to make everything in this book!
This is a great book for both the novice and the seasoned cook. The recipes are creative, yet practical in that they don't have hard-to-find ingredients or take hours to make. This is a great addition to any cook's library. I can't remember a time when I looked through a new cookbook and literally wanted to make EVERY SINGLE RECIPE in it. And I intend to do exactly that. I highly recommend this book to anyone with a love of good food and easy entertaining. This one hits a home run.

Great cookbook, even for beginners!
This cookbook is beautiful. If you’re a fan of Katie Lee’s recipes on The Kitchen, you will love this cookbook. It’s big, very easy to read, good paper and great photos. One recipe is missing full instructions but you can get the recipe from the amazon page where her book sells. Not a big deal, tbh. I have it in my email for when I’m ready to make the pasta dish. Overall, I’m pleased with the book, and can’t wait to use some of the recipes.

Many recipes e don't have a picture
They are some things that are better unchange. When I pay for a book, I really love to have pictures with the recipes. Something is missing, I regret my purchase. Having a picture for the cream cheese celery (super simple...) but no picture for the eggplant dip, the grille tuna salad, the curry stew.... I am at page 65 and ready feel like I won't reach out for this book often.

Makes your pantry complicated!
The recipes are simple BUT most of the ingredients are not every day items in your pantry. You'd need to read the recipe and plan a shopping trip to the store. There are better cook's books out there.
