THERMWELL RV/36H 36" Vinyl Insert

Had to buy this insert as my old one was torn and not working properly. Great quality product and easy installation. Just cut the insert to fit the size of your door and install in the metal grooves of your threshold.

I was very surprised how well it fit and easy to install. Also very reasonably priced !

This is the same I bought from Home Depot, I thought it was going to be smooth, like the pictures show, but it was ribbed just like what I bought at Home Depot. I still used it, if you put dish soap on the sides, it goes in easier.

It was cheap which explains the quality. It is thin but somewhat functional to fill the gap at the bottom of the door. We'll see how long it lasts. Contrary to some reviews, it was easy to install in my threshold. Note: it was supposed to fit a 36" opening but came in at 35 1/4" and cut on an angle like someone hastily snipped it, which is why only 3 stars. Glad my opening was 32". The MD product I bought for a second door was a little higher but better.

The original insert for the door was 1 3/4 inches in width, but a new replacement was more than twice the price of this one. I took a gamble hoping it would still install and possibly provide a tighter seal on the bottom of the door. My gamble paid off as it installed as the original and was easy to do.

Even though unrolled flat, laying on the floor before installation,it curved like a giant letter “C” I was able to get it installed.It wrinkled somewhat, but after a week in the threshold it seems better.

I ordered the wrong size the first time and then found this product. They fit perfectly and were easy to install. The strips are a good value for the money;

Slightly difficult to install in the cold weather. Would have preferred a smooth top vs the ridges because it’s more difficult to open & close the door, but it’ll work in a pinch until we replace the whole threshold & door.

Good quality prodect that should do the job if your needing to replace a common older style of threshold seal.

Not the same as the old one, but it will do the job for now.

I didnt know the brand of the installed weather strip and it would not be easy to replace the whole thing because the builder in effect cemented it in. But by carefully measuring the space after the old disintegrating rubber strip was removed it looked like this Frost King strip would fit. It did fit really well except that it is perhaps a tiny bit high and so the door is a little stiff to close. But actually that means it is sealing really well which is the objective anyway. So my advice is if you are replacing the rubber portion of a weather strip, measure really well.
