Golden is clean taste. Treacle was saltier than American molasses. That was surprising. I still prefer the stronger taste straight. Will try treacle with beef or some type of meat. Ham ?

This is the molasses and golden syrup from my childhoodCame well packaged. No leaks

The tins arrived damaged, one worse than the other. Because of this, one of the tins was leaking. Better protection in packaging would have prevented the damage. The only reason I ordered these items is knowing that Lyle's (the brand being purchased by an American company) is changing the labeling to conform with a delicate American public that is easily offended by silly things such as a brand label that has been around for over 150 years.

I buy Lyles about once a year to make my favorite cheesecake. But I had some left over and decided to wing it and make French toast. HOLY SMOKES! We used croissant bread purchased from Trader Joe's, added pumpkin spice and whole cream to the eggs and then topped the whole thing off with Lyle's syrup. It was better than any 5 star restaurant I've ever eaten at. I gave the molasses to my step dad because he loves to pour it on biscuits. Great product, decent price. Buy it.

When I was 5 years old my father used to have this for me. Now after 61 years I found it on Amazon. It test the same as it was 61 years a go. I use it with butter or cream chees. Try it, it test delicious 😋

Lyle's Golden Syrup reminds me of liquid Werther's. I drizzled it over some blueberry muffins, seems a bit too much for pancakes, for me. That being said, I have dipped a spoon in occasionally and it's awesome. Treacle reminds me of burnt molasses, idk, I used it in some in a barbeque sauce, I don't know what else to use it for, I'm not a foodie

The Lyles Golden Syrup goes on your waffle and the Treacle goes on your hot cereal.

It was my first time using these, but it all went well! The containers are a bit difficult to open due to the contents, I used the back of a spoon to pry them open but probably a flathead screwdriver would work too. Overall very delicious in the sticky toffee pudding I made
