Great product, not sure how well it would weather the elements, though.
Got this from Amazon deals and it's well worth what I paid. I have it outside in a covered area. So far, it's been out there for a couple of months and I've had no issues with bugs or anything else getting into the feed. I'm using it for chicken feed and it's in the coop to protect it from the elements. It easily holds 50 pounds of feed and keeps the chickens as well as any vermin out of it. Coup is open during the day so other critters regularly go visit but no one's managed to get into the feed. While it's does a great job keeping critters out, it feels a bit light weight and I'm not sure if it would stand up to the California sun. I think it'll do fine with rain, but I'm not sure how well it will do with sun so I keep it in the shade. Great product and would recommend it.

Practically perfect!
Love this! We have a big dog, so we get a BIG bag of dog food. 50lbs. And the entire bag fits in here! All the other containers we looked at seemed giant and took up so much space. But this is a wonderful, slim compact design. It seals well, so keeps out unwanted activity (bugs, or snacking puppies for example) My ONLY complaint is that it is a bit difficult to open. I understand it's a tight fit to keep it airtight, but the cover doesn't have the best grip\handle for opening. Just saying it might be difficult for an older person, a child (trying to accomplish their chores), or someone with arthritis or anything like this to get it open if kept tightly closed. Otherwise, it's practically perfect.

Very nice product.
I like this container. It's a good shape, doesn't take up a lot of room, the lid is easy to put on and take off and it seals tight, keeping the food fresh. Also, I don't notice any stinky aroma once the lid is closed (the smoked salmon dry food I feed my pooch definitely has a fishy smell to it.) When I removed it from the box I didn't think it would actually hold 65 pounds of dog food, but it does. My only complaint, other than they are pricey, is that they don't stack well. I also purchased the Vittles Vault 45 Stackable to stack on top of the 65 but I'm still trying ideas to get them to stay stacked when I open and close them. In addition to the surfaces being slippery, the bumps and divots don't line up enough for them to fit together. Even if the bumps and divots did fit I think the top container would still slide out of place when touched because of the slippery surface. I also own some regular Vittles Vaults and have the same slippery surface issue. That said, they are easy to use, even when there is not much kibble left, and they keep it fresh. I do recommend the Vittles Vaults.

Great containers.
I have moved to the literally the middle of no where. I have 2 German Shepherds that I keep on a grain free diet. The only place I can find their food is almost 3 hours away so I buy 4 40lb bags at a time. Kind of hard to find room to store that in your home. The container I had held 50 lbs but I would still have 3 large bags to put somewhere. I ordered 2 of these and they are holding 3 bags. They look nice and they are stackable. Worth the money to me.

Stores food
Con: It’s difficult to fill because the mouth opening limits access. I knew this was going to be a problem before I purchased it, but this was the only product that I could find that was slim, while still holding the amount of dog food I purchase at a time. Con: If you stack these as they are designed, you’ll have to scoop out the older food prior to filling the container with new food. When my pet food runs low, I order several new bags and pour the small amount of old food out of the container, so that I may place it back on top of the fresh food. First-in, first out rule. Con: My hands suffer with terrible arthritis and opening a twist lid can be a huge, painful struggle. Pro: Really slim profile, which is what I needed. The 65lb capacity isn’t quite true, however. I had to really shove the food into the back to fit two 30lb bags in together. Pro: Stackable. I’m considering adding a second one for my cat food, but I want to give myself time to see how I really like or dislike this container. I’m used to the open-top latching rolling containers, but I couldn't find a slim container that held 60+ pounds at a time. Pro: So far, the ants are locked out.

Good product
A bit expensive, but this is slightly better than the wheeled, clear flip top container I bought. Although this one could use wheels or something to justify price. Still, I am very happy with the quality and how much dog food it holds given I have an XL breed growing puppy.

Not Pest proof as Advertised
I was excited when I read that this was pest proif since mice got into my plastic container I kept my dog food in For over 10 years. I used a regular plastic storage container. The Vault seemed thicker and more durable and advertised as pest proof. Unfortunately, I didn't use it until a month later, within 3 days the mice got in. The food was safer in a Cooler I krpt it in. Please remove that pestproof from ad. You cam improve the Vault by putting metal all around and the corners. Please refund me the $80 and let me know where I can drop it off for free Return postage. Thanks

Get the Outback series not the Home series
I purchased 2 from Amazon and the lid was cracked on them just like other customers. When I received replacements directly from Gamma 2 another one was cracked. I have had the outback series for 8 years and no issues. Don't waste your time with the home series. The lids are junk. I highly recommend the outback series though. And they are cheaper.
