Hypertherm Powermax 30 Air Plasma Cutter 088096 with Built-In Air Compressor

This is an amazing unit. Beyond the fact that its American made and extremely well built, the ability to plug it into any outlet, flip the switch, and start cutting is unbelievable. Unless you have a large truck mounted compressor or are in a shop environment, supplying enough air to cut is usually a major hassle. The onboard compressor is quiet and powerful and just gets it done. Will cut 1/4" plate cleanly and will sever 3/4". Thicker materials are slow and not super clean but good enough for demo work which is half of what this machine will be used for. When cutting 1/4 or thinner material with a cut guide, the edge is clean and sharp. Makes for easy cleanup and fitup. Overall a very well designed and manufactured machine. I will update this review dow the road when I have more hours on it.

Everything I expected! It works as a charm. You will be making precise cuts within minutes. The integrated air compressor makes it very portable and is actually less noisy that my shop compressor that is quite father away, so the dual 120/230 is very convenient. Hypertherm specializes in plasma cutters and it shows every detail looks high quality. Very satisfied!

Started with a Hobart 12 Airforce and this thing blows that away. Spend the extra money folks. Even running it off of 110V on a 20A breaker this thing cuts steel like butter. Very happy with it's portability and ease of use. Plug it in and go to town.

This is an awesome machine. Cuts 1/4" like nothing even on 120v, I recommend using 220v for anything larger than 1/4". I love the portability and versatility, since it works with 120/220 and has a built-in air compressor.
