Insect Repllent Bands, 4-Count Family Pack

Works great! We each wore one all weekend and got no bites.

My son got his mama's sweet blood, so whenever we go outside it seems like there are swarms of mosquitoes around us just waiting for a snack! I have bought several products to help prevent them from attacking my one year old. The Bugbands have been effective for the both of us. However, in order to be fully effective I have to wear one on each wrist if I'm wearing short sleeves, and one on each ankle if in shorts. One band on one appendage is NOT enough for full protection! The first time I put one on I put it on my right ankle - by the time I went inside the house my left leg had 15+ bites, and I had one on my right leg. I have gotten bit right by the band once, which seems weird. I would say they are probably 80% effective per limb you put a band on. What I have found to be most effective so far is to put one on each wrist and wear pants and socks. On my one year old I put one on each of his ankles and use Badger Anti-bug balm on his arms and the back of his neck. We have been using these bands for over a month now, and they are still working. Honestly, the only thing that is VERY effective for me is Deep Woods Off, but that is not the safest thing, and definitely can't be used on baby! Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would buy them again in the future.

I started using bug band products more than 10 year ago and all the products have worked perfectly for everyone I've recommended them too. We live on Fire Island NY which is a barrier island off long island. Because it is actually nothing more than a large sand bar in the Atlantic Ocean you can only imagine the amount of mosquitos we have here all the time, rain only makes it worse. I am very sensitive to bites which cause swelling/blister like bumps and these bands make beach life 98% more tolerable!. Of course I get a bite here and there. I am disappointed to see Amazon does not sell their spray, pellets or fan bags and it seems the company no longer sells retail :(Keep in mind every body chemistry is different as are the mosquitos around the world so no one product can works perfectly for everyone but these work for the 150+ people I know who use them all over the US

A friend of mine gave my daughter one of these when we were backpacking in Colorado. My daughter, who is 8 and has a strong reaction to mosquito bites, wore this for a week and we LOVED it!! She didn't get a single mosquito bite when she wore this, and usually she can't go outside without getting attacked and then swelling up. The band smells strongly of citronella, but there was no reaction at all on her skin, and it didn't bother her at all. The band is also adjustable, so I put it on just to try it out. We loved it so much that we bought this 4 pack to take to Alaska with us. We just returned from 3 weeks in Alaska, and once again, this was AMAZING! She wore a band each week (we found that they last about a week, which is longer than the brand claims), and once again she did not get a single mosquito bite. In Alaska, especially with a lot of hiking and walking around, this is really unheard of. I plan to stock up on these for the future, and I can't recommend them highly enough!

I am one of those people that mosquitoes are attracted to. I did not see any marked difference in protection but was willing to continue to try the product as a more "natural" alternative to other repellents. My daughter, on the other hand, thought the product worked well and liked that we did not spray her down. Will continue to use these but if I do not see a marked decrease in bites will not repurchase.

I was working on an outdoor project in a place where there are a lot of mosquitos. I had fourteen bites the first day and was desperate to find something to keep the insects off. I didn't want to spray myself with bug spray daily. I bought one of these but assumed a plastic band wouldn't do much. Wrong. Nothing bit me when I wore it. I bought a bunch more (since they wear out over time) and wore one every day on the project. I've also given them to numerous people who work outdoors. They do have a bit of an odor, but that's probably what keeps the mosquitos away. They don't contain anything harmful, and you just wash your wrist when you go back inside. Highly recommended.

These worked well for my daughter and me. I used them this spring when I was setting up my garden for the season. I haven't used them when the mosquitoes were really bad since we're suffering from a heat wave and a drought this year and don't have our usual mosquito problem. I gave one to my mother who lives in an area that still has many mosquitoes. She has noticed a reduction in the number of bites, but she still gets bitten. With the band on she can go out for a few minutes and not be bitten right away, as is usual, but they do find her eventually and bite the parts of her further from the bug band. I think it depends on how bad the mosquitoes are and on body chemistry. I found them to be very useful. For the price I am very glad I gave it a try. Now I don't have to slather myself with bug spray just to go out and set up the sprinklers.

I am the one who will get eatten alive if mosquitos are anywhere around. I used to use these when I camped a lot, but couldn't find them at my local camping store. Heading for Malaysia at this time of year, I was afraid I was going to have to slather myself with some DEET spray. Somehow while I was looking for a product called 'After Bite', these came up. I couldn't believe it! I was so excited to see them in different colors, rather than the army green I used to buy. I wore 1 on my wrist and 1 on my ankle the whole time I was in Malaysia and Singapore and never even saw a flying bug come near me. My friend got bite! I color coordinated them daily with my outfits. No one questioned it, they thought I was wearing some kind of band for a charity cause.Highly recommend, especially for kids. Water resistant too.

This bug bands WORK!! I live in Spain and I use them from April to October, if I forget to put one on I am eaten alive!!!These bands are plastic which is much better them rubber ones which stretch and also fall off if caught on anything (tried both). Excellent value for money as they are waterproof, you can go swimming with them on, no problem. Yes I would recommend them. Lovely colours.as well. I will be back next year for more.

Love these, would have liked a multipack of just the clear. I find they do help ward of the dreaded mosquito, still get the occasional bite, but not a many as I usually get,
