Guaranteed frustration
I purchased this vacuum based on reviews on both Amazon and other internet sites. It takes a little time to get used to the backpack, but the vacuum is light and has plenty of power. The harness concentrates the weight on one's hips rather than one's shoulders. The floor brush cleans my wood floors better than my Dyson animal. The telescoping wand easily adjusts, and the brush pivots to get into narrow areas. It is much easier to clean stairs with this backpack unit than an upright vacuum. I really like the 50 foot cord. I can clean an entire floor without changing plugs. Why did I rate the unit so low? The kit contains a carpet brush that I had expected to use on my rugs, but it does not fit the vacuum wand. I contacted the vendor who saw no problem with what was in the package. They told me I could purchase the correct brush from one of their reps and also blamed Amazon for the misleading information. The correct brush, part number 836357, costs almost $70 plus shipping. It is not currently listed on the vendor web site. As far as I can tell, this part is not currently available on Amazon, but I was able to find it elsewhere. The claw tool, which one would use to clean furniture, also does not fit the wand. One must use a cuff that is not mentioned in the description or shown in the picture of included parts. The cuff does not hold the claw securely enough to keep the claw on when one pulls the attachment. I have not tried the crevice tool. It is my opinion that the description is misleading. I was very disappointed in the vendor's customer service. Amazon customer service was very helpful in resolving this issue, but I could not recommend that anyone purchase this particular package. My experience with the vendor customer support doesn't bode well for anyone experiencing problems with any of their products.Update Feb. 26, `2016I received the carpet brush designed to work with this model. The brush does a good job on short nap carpet and an acceptable job on rugs with a medium nap. I have one longer nap carpet that neither the Dyson nor the ProTeam unit clean particularly well. My biggest challenge is cleaning up after my long haired cat. My Dyson Animal has a performance edge on medium and longer nap carpets, but it is very hard on the carpet. The Dyson canister contains a significant amount of carpet fibers after each use.The proteam vacuum is more agile and easily cleans under and around furniture. The Proteam brush is significantly better than the Dyson carpet brush that attaches to the hose. I will use the Proteam vacuum on a regular basis, but I will occasionally use the Dyson for a more thorough cleaning. I will also use the Dyson upholstery brush. The Proteam version seems like an afterthought. It requires an adapter and doesn't stay on well. It also lacks bristles to coax cat hair off of my chairs. If one has only hard surfaces or shorter nap carpets, the Proteam vacuum is a better choice than the Dyson. If one's home is mostly carpeted, the Proteam might not be one's best option for a vacuum. I would prefer the Proteam to the Dyson to clean an expensive carpet on a regular basis regardless of the nap length.

Well worth the investment
I use this mostly for residential cleaning and I am very happy with it. Here are the pros and cons I found:Pros- Easier on my back then a canister vacuum. Can cover more ground in less time. Comfortably once you adjust all the straps. And the suction power is extremely strong.Cons- While it’s nice the cord is made of thicker rubber, it does get caught often when you go around a corner of a wall. This is less of a problem if you vacuum an open area as opposed to homes like I do.Overall great investment just need to be mindful of your movements when working if you’re in tighter spaces.

This type is the only vacuum cleaner you need for complete cleaning.
I have been through a lot of vacuums in my lifetime and now I’m definitely happy with this one. I cannot emphasize enough on how great this vacuum is. The suction power is awesome and it’s still quiet. I plug it in where it’s stored and can vacuum my 1200 square foot house without moving the cord. Easy on the back and easy to move furniture. I love it, didn’t know what I was missing.
