I realise this is marketed as an ‘amber’ light, but this is properly ORANGE. It reminds me of the lights in a sauna. My son seems ok with it for reading at bedtime, but say goodbye to colours in his comics! Turning it off is also unfortunately tedious as there is a tiny switch on the side - silly me for thinking the large ‘power button’ symbol meant an easy access on/off switch. Should have read more reviews... design is nice, seems sturdy. Only on day two with battery use, so not sure how long it will last. Overall, I wish I’d chosen something else.

I bought this for my son who likes to read in bed.The Light is larger than I had expected and has a good strong clip which we use to attach it to his book self.The intensity of the light can be varied easily. He finds it very easy to use and ideal with reading. He finds that he often falls asleep whilst reading with this light on whilst his previous standard bulb would keep him awake.The battery seems to be lasting well - he has had several hours use of it over the past month as is yet to charge it (it was charged when it arrived). charging is via a usb cable supplied, this is a standard usb cable so if misplaced then is easily replaced.

Brought this for my 4 year old who now shares a room with her 12 yr old sister and is now sleeping on a bunkbed and was worried about her getting up and down off ladder and having an accident especially when the 12 yr old switches all night lights off without me knowing as she likes to sleep in a dark room.My 4 year old uses this with ease at night especially when she wakes up needing to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. She uses the different dimmer on it with ease and best part is the warm orange glow no matter what brightness it doesnt wake her older sister up on the bottom bunk. The brightest dimmer is bright enough to throw out a really low subtle warm glow in the room for my 4 yr old to step down from her top bunk and see around the bedroom and the door but best part it doesn't wake or affect the oldest when it's on.One charge lasts roughly 4 nights with it on left on for hours or 10 mins here or there and it doesn't overheat or get warm even when left on for hours either which was another worry of mine with these type of lights. Comes with USB lead to charge it but you will need to use a USB plug but most households have USB charging plugs.I plan to buy another one for myself so I can start reading paper books before bed than reading books on my tablet which hurts my eyes after a while.Pros:.Different dimmer options.Clips on to practically anything.Flexible lamp.Orange Glow Won't Wake Others Up.Great for kids.Great for adults.Charge Lasts nights.Great PriceCons:None so far.Highly recommend this to everyone of all ages. I like the orange colour of the light and the sturdiness of the product, which is clearly well made. The battery life is great too. But for me the whole point was for me to be able to read in bed without disturbing wifey as she's trying to sleep and even on the lowest setting it's too bright for that, so I had to mess around with cardboard and sticky-tape. Also, when you switch the device on, it goes to the highest brightness setting. That's easily adjusted but in the meantime the room has been flooded with light and you have to press repeatedly to lower the brightness.I realise that for other people, the high brightness might be exactly what they want, and the sturdiness of something that's designed to clip onto the bedstead rather than being small and light enough to clip to a book, might be an advantage rather than a disadvantage, so this score is very personal. For me, a much smaller, lighter, cheaper device suited better and I just use an orange sweet-wrapper and a rubber band to get the colour of light that I want.

This is brilliant it is really bright but can be dimmed to several different lights. It clips easily to the table and bends to every way you could possibly want it to be. Perfect for me to be able to keep reading at night when everyone else is sleeping without keeping them awake. The battery life is amazing it lasts for ages. It is easy to use and set up. It has a on/off switch as well as the touch button. It is very sturdy and great quality made well. Brilliant value for money and well recommended. Only down side was the wait I had for it. But in the current circumstances I can live with it. Just glad it's here now

I was a bit dubious about it, but the product is great. Very sturdy, excellent brightness - five different levels which you touch using the sensor, and it dims every time you touch it. The top level is extremely bright so I tend to use it at the bottom two levels, but that's just personal preference. I so nearly gave it 5* but decided to drop it to 4* just because of the colour of the light itself - it's quite orangey when it's glowing which hurts my eyes when I glance at it to change the setting, and the glow on the book is a bit orange. (Picture included of the light on its lowest level.) But again, my issue there is just based on personal preference, I'm not expecting everyone to prefer a lighter/whiter light. Overall, it's excellent for the price and clips on really well to the bed frame, and the battery is fantastic - I've been using it for over a week, probably for about 4-5 hours every evening, and have only had to charge it once, so the battery life is superb. It's also very easy to bend and get at any angle you like while you're reading. I thoroughly recommend it.

Eldest son wanted a light for his bed to help when he's reading. It's simple to opperate, easy to adjust the position and gives off a lovely warm orange glow. Hard to tell about battery life as not sure how long it's being used. Very impressed with the size and weight. And good fun when building a den.Holding down the power buttons will turn it off at any brightness, and it returns to that setting when it's turned back on. Nice touch.Thoroughly recommend.
