Impressive Smart Lighting Solution - Affordable and Reliable!
This is my second lightbulb from Meross... I must say they have exceeded my expectations in several ways. These bulbs have proven to be a fantastic addition to my smart home setup.First and foremost, the setup process through the Meross app was a breeze. With just a few simple steps, I had all three bulbs connected and ready to go. One standout feature of these smart bulbs is their excellent build quality. The bulbs feel solid and well-made, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance. I appreciate the attention to detail in the construction, as it instills a sense of confidence in the product's reliability. One aspect that I truly appreciate is the seamless integration of the Meross B22 Smart bulbs with my home assistant using the Meross HACS integration. This compatibility has elevated my smart home automation capabilities to new heights. Controlling the bulbs alongside my other devices and automating various scenarios has become a breeze. In terms of lighting performance, these bulbs are exceptional. The brightness they offer is more than sufficient, and I particularly love the option to dim them down for a softer, more relaxed ambiance when needed. The colors produced by the bulbs are vibrant and visually pleasing, adding a touch of personality to any room. With their user-friendly setup process, solid build quality, seamless integration with home assistant, and excellent lighting performance, these bulbs have become an indispensable part of my daily routine. Would recommend!

An integrated smart light bulb
I have several Meross products already. They work well, seamlessly joining my Wi-fi network and working through the Meross app, as a widget on my phone and Alexa.Like previous purchases, this item feels really well made. Unlike previous purchases, it links to my network via the apple home app, which is fine, but I don’t use that for anything else at the moment. I would have preferred to use the Meross app. I think setup was slightly more time consuming that using Meross. The light works well, it is bright and I can dim it.In apple home you get 6 preset colours, each of which can be edited to any colour from the colour wheel. I found it hard to return to a simple ‘warm white’ and it would be good it that was available as a permanent option.the Meross app worked much for this. It was clear and easy to switch between colour and normallight. I have seen other products (like the Philips hue system) do fancy colour changing disco effects and things. I haven’t seen a way (yet) to allow this bulb to do that.So - it would be 5/5 except for the use of the home app not the Meross app for setup, and the lack of a disco colour change function (for the kids, not me, obviously)

Light up the Future…. And Save energy
Thought I may as well try to save some energy and automate the home. As a lot of my light fixings in my home are the old bayonet fitting, I opted for the Meross Smart Wi-Fi bulb. I have initially bought a set of two before I convert the rest of the bulbs in the house to the same.Taking the bulb out of the box I was initially hesitant because the top of the bulb is a kind of plastic. This is met halfway down by a more substantial ceramic feeling housing and then finally the base ismetal and appears well built and not the usual cheap metal that you find in cheap bulbs.Fitting was a doddle, just like changing a normal bulb. Ensure that the power is ‘Off’ though, it is needed as part of the setup procedure.I am not one for following instructions, however on this occasion I wish I had! I spent 15 minutes trying to get the bulbs configured using the Android Meross app. After stage one and connecting to the Bulb Wi-Fi I could not progress any further and kept receiving the error that it could not connect. I thought I had a dodgy bulb so exchanged it with the second one in the pack, however I still received the same error. About to give up and in despair 😊I decided to read the instructions! Wish I had at the start. The bulbs have an issue if your Wi-Fi connection is using 5Ghz which most new routers tend to combine into a single connection with 2.4Ghz. I have a mesh system installed and this was the case. After switching off 5Ghz on my router settings I was immediately able to connect to the bulb via the app and the rest of the configuration was extremely straight forward.Loading the app and clicking on the edit pencil allows you into the configuration, it has two options, the bulb light temperature and the other is to change the colour. The light temperature ranges from 6500K brilliant white through 11 ranges to 2700K, stepping through the ranges you can see a difference in the light, 2700K offers a warm yellow feel to the light and ambience of the room.Hitting the colour option allows you to step through a colour wheel offering all the colours under the sun, again this works extremely well, however for me personally I am unsure how much use I will get from this.Next up was adding it to my ever-growing Alexa devices. On this occasion I decided to follow the supplied instructions. Within 5 minutes I had setup the bulb and was able to switch the light on-and off without any issues using Alexa.I am impressed with the bulbs so far; however, I feel that Meross need to address the 5Ghz/2.4Ghz compatibility issue out. Also, Meross need to offer the bulb in an Edison screw fitting, a lot of new homes no longer use the traditional bayonet fitting. Price could be prohibiting for some people as they are not cheap, but if they last as long as stated on the box 22.8 years and cost only 80p a year to run (based on 3 hours a day) then there is a cost saving. If you have found this review useful, please click on the thumbs up.

Great bulb, great price, great features 8/10
This is a great smart bulb and puts others to shame! No bridge needed!!!Straight out the box you are greeted with 2 bulbs. Setup is very easy. If using HomeKit then just scan the code into the home app and set up is done. For more control and features make sure to download the Meross app found on all the app stores. Alexa will need you to add the Alexa skill and setup is straight forward and same for google home.Brightness on these bulbs is very impressive. Brightness isn’t lost when using color and you can even have the bulb play different effects again using the Meross app.The bulbs are very responsive and worked every command. Siri works great and can be used via phone or HomePod. Keep in mind you do have to have a 2.4GH WiFi network for these bulbs to work.Only little let down is color accuracy. While colors are very true. Warm white can be a little more yellow compared to a natural light. For the price, features and usability, this bulb is worth grabbing for any smart home! 8/10 would recommend.Pros:SetupCostHomeKit supportBrightnessCons:Warm white is more yellow toned
