Out and About at the Dairy Farm (Field Trips)

This book is extremely well-written with the elementary student in mind. It is both fun and fact-filled! The kids don't even know they are learning! I am an Enlgish teacher and I used this book in my class with great results. It gave me a week's worth of activities and discussions. It is a great preparatory tool for a field trip and also includes a delicious and easy recipe for ice cream- and clean-up is a breeze! The kids absolutely loved it! I will use it every year and I even amaze my friends with my homemade ice cream! Keep writing Andy Murphy!

This book is good. We had to change a few different pages. Wearing gloves while milking ( not boot covers), the usage of the word medicane for dipping and foot bath, some wordage with tmr.... Overall a good book about dairy, straight forward and the pictures are nice.

I'm a Daisy Girl Scout Leader. Our troop is working on curriculum for an animal badge, so we took a field trip to the local Dairy Farm. We read this book at our meeting in preparation for our visit to the farm. It was very informative and we found it to be accurate. The girls even gave the farmer's grief about the condition of the cow's feet at the farm we visited after learning in this book how important their hygiene is.
