We are very impressed with the Zenith Z4. We have had it for around 2 weeks and it has proved to be a very good buy at very good value. It has lots of features, although the USB/Bluetooth/Aux-In features will not be used by us. The stereo sound is excellent on CD, and great sound on radio too. Very happy with it’s nice compact size, looks impressive and is ideal for carrying from room to room, just what we wanted. The instruction booklet is very clear, as are the listed options shown on the screen, buttons too, and it is good to have an earphone socket for private listening, and a nice touch to have the analogue clock show the time when on standby. Even with the good-sized (64cm) extended aerial we have been able to get only a very few DAB+ stations as we appear to be in a poor reception area with hills nearby, but we do get the main ones we wanted to listen to. Have not tried FM as happy with the DAB+ channels. I might point out that, although we knew it ourselves from the start and was not needed by us, I did advise Azatom that their own advertisement on EBay for this model incorrectly states that it has “dual alarms”. We are very pleased indeed with the Zenith Z4 and would highly recommend it. Thank you.

Arrived today. Easy to understand and set up. Excellent sound quality for being portable.

Ordered the Z4 almost in desperation. Had previously had many happy years with 2 consecutive Philips Boombox CD/ Radios but the sound quality on their latest models is feeble. Also tried a Roberts model which was showing promise but I paused for a tea break whilst setting up DAB channels and when i returned, the power had died and never came back. So with 2 established brands, proving a complete failure, I took a chance on Azatom. So far, pretty pleased. Switched on and the DAB stations tuned in immediately. The radio sound is excellent. The CD player is very good, it does lack the bass i am used to but attaching an Anker Soundcore 2 Bluetooth speaker (recently bought from Amazon) to it solves that problem well enough. I have yet to try connecting the Bluetooth wirelessly and need to practice the overall functionality more. But it's a good start and the overall quality to date pleases considering its compact size.

The Product looks great, small but with a BIG crystal clear Sound. All operating buttons have a nice feel and work beautifully. The CD quality is perfect for our daily use so much easier than switching on the Hi-Fi and clearing out the Sitting-room; I can use this Player anywhere in the house. Mostly in the Kitchen. The DAB Radio channels are Brilliant! My main purpose for buying this item was to use it on Picnics and Beach but in fact its proving to be very useful just around the House.

Easy to use and really nice sound, well pleased and worth the money.

I bought this for a kids bedroom for audiobooks on CD / USB and for listening to the radio. The DAB, CD, bluetooth and USB playback all work very well. It picks up the right track order on the USB and displays track information. DAB finds plenty of channels and displays the right information. CD function is good, and you can fast forward easily by holding down the next track button. Bluetooth pairs easily and works well if you want to listen to podcasts etc. It's got a high-quality screen which is very easy to read and informative, and helps with navigating through the different functions. It's not very loud, but acceptable for a small CD player. It claims 20W output but I don't think it's anywhere near that. You certainly couldn't use if for music at a party or in a loud workshop. It's fine for a study or a bedroom, and the sound quality is good - it just isn't very loud at the top setting. It's got far too many buttons - it could really do with a volume knob. All the buttons are the same size and arrayed closely around the screen in not very intuitive positions, which means you have to squint at them and work out which one you want to use. So you can't just reach for a button and find it if you want to turn it off in a dark bedroom for example. It's not hard to use, and the menus are intuitive, it's just the sheer number of buttons which is a bit of a pain. It doesn't have a remote control but has a useful sleep mode which you can set to turn off after 10,20,60,90, etc., minutes through pressing a button. So overall if you want a small CD, USB, Bluetooth and DAB unit then it's probably the best one for the price. Alternatives are few and far between unless you want to spend a lot more money. In terms of longevity, I've got no idea how long it will last. It doesn't have the build quality "feel" of a Roberts or a Sony, and is a bit plasticky. It does come with a three year warranty if you register online which gives peace of mind. Overall I'd say 5 stars for features, but the sheer number of buttons lets it down. I have no real complaints and am happy with my purchase.

Great little portable CD player with DAB. Etc. works and sound amazing

Cet achat était pour un cadeau de Noël. Quelle désagréable surprise en déballant ce cadeau et en constatant qu'on ne peut pas l'utiliser faute de câble d'alimentation adéquat .... Je suis déçu car ce détail n'était mentionné nul part dans la description de l'article. j'ai du commander un câble et en attendant qu'il arrive cette radio n'est pas utilisable.
