My father in law had a severe stroke that left him unable to use one side of his body. Getting into tje car was do-able but difficult because he would have to reach behind himself to find the seat and try to balance on his hand while sitting down. I was able to install this on one of tje car door window frames and it has made sitting and standing from tje car seat so much easier. One of of the cars that didn't have a window door frame I just put it around the door mirror and rolled the window down and it still worked well.

I give rides to elderly people to medical appointments. This item is a HUGE help in getting them in and out of my car. They tell me it is in just the right place to give them something to hold on to and lean on. Could not be easier to use. Price very fair. Made of strong materials, looks like it will last many years. Highly recommend it.

too low in my car. cannot reach high enough

Very strong and it allows my wife to use this to assist in getting into and out of our vehicle. It can be positioned in various places, so it’s pretty much a universal fitting extra hand,

It's fabulous for my parents it makes getting in and out of any vehicle for them easier

This worked out pretty well for my 92-year old mom for helping to get her in and out of the car. She only weighs 120 lbs could get in and out with just a little lift and a push or pull, but the handle gave her more control over her transfer to and from the wheel chair and my car, which was good for her self esteem. It did take her a while to get used to it because not is noty entirely stable. It moves like anything that is supsended off of a rope. She did need someone to stand between her and the door when existing so thaty she did not pull it shut on herself, fr the price, I was 4 stars happy. Then it broke. She was getting into the var one day and it just snapped completely. Fortunately, she had her balance and I was right behind her , so she did not get hurt, but it was startling and could have resulted in injury in another circumstance. I do live I the deserty so it's possible the heat continued tyo the failure, It was disappointing hate it lasted less than one year and came apart after about a dozen uses. I am going to buy a similar item to replace it, but from another vendor.
