A three disc dvd box set containing all nine episodes of the second season of 'Doom Patrol'. A tv version of the dc comic about a dysfunctional group of would be superheroes who deal with very weird things.This is not a jumping on point, and thus new viewers should start with season one.Regular viewers, read on.All episodes run fifty mins [approx]. And as with season one there's a very large amount of adult moments, violence, and quite possibly more bits of strong language than in anything else, and many from one character in particular. So this is an eighteen certificate and strictly for the grown ups.Picking up from where season one left off, the team now get to meet the chief's daughter Dorothy. A girl with an unusual origin, and a unique appearance. She just wants to be normal. But dark forces lurk around her. Niles, and all the rest of the team, have to deal with either their issues with their parents, or vice versa...The first episode does do a lot of reintroducing the characters, so in some ways feels like a typical season opener. But after that, this really gets going and is amazingly good. Because it's not a monster of the week episodic show. It is firmly driven by the actions and issues of the main characters, and they deal with problems when they come along, never in a manner that feels shoehorned in to make a monster of the week.And there are great character arcs throughout this run. All the team have to deal with believable and realistic human issues.It also manages to be as completely weird as it should be, successfully capturing the feel of the comic.Production of the season was cut short by the pandemic, so the ninth episode does feel initially as if it could work as a season finale, but then ends up on a cliffhanger leaving lots in the air. Which works fine. Doom Patrol is the best TV show that no-one seems to be watching, the worst heroes for any situation still get the job done, sort of, but despite their own issues they still try, eventually, in their own way and season two ramps up everything, very much worth the time to watch it

Don't get it, this is nasty stuff with disgusting cruelty to animals in the first half hour I turned it off it upset me and !y family members. I don't want to see rats eating their babies or see a heroes killing them and skinning them, it's not funny it's obviously by a psychopath who probably does sick stuff to humans as well

series 1 was much better and had loads more eps 16 i thinkthis is only 9 ? , feel they could have easiy made another 10 at leastits ok not as good as the first seson

Great new Series, its Hilarious and so wacky. Really original writing and a joy to watch. Highly recommend

It has been reported everywhere that the whole season 2 will be released at once....9 episodes....so why just 4????
