Great buy!
These mats are amazing on their own and much more so when you consider the price. They are well made, come in nice colors (I was a little worried they'd be too colorful), and have great features. I don't know how they will stand up in the rainy season but this summer has been off to a wet start here in the northwest and so far, these mats are greatly reducing the tracking of the muck that comes in on our shoes. I sweep almost daily and am always pleasantly surprised what comes out of the mat when I turn it over. The grooves really hold a lot and you'd never even know all that was in there. The backing of the mat is designed to grip on a carpet or hard floor and it performs this task well. And last but not least, these mats have a low profile. I've got some doors with little to no clearance between the weather stripping and the floor and they always catch the rugs. These mats are slim and sturdy enough that the weather stripping can't pick them up so they stay put.Update: After owning and using this item for a couple of years now, I have noticed a problem with the mats. The backing seems to release some sort of residue. On the hard floor, the area underneath seems polished. As I sweep, I can feel the change in the surface as the broom passes over the area that was under the mat. There is however, no visual difference in the floor's appearance. But sadly, the area under the mat that sits on the carpet in front of my sliding door is discolored. It is possible this has something to do with the age of our carpets but considering there is a noticeable difference with both surfaces, I'm thinking it has something more to do with the backing of the rug. It did take some time for this to happen as I didn't notice a problem until after two years of use. The carpet is a light beige color and looks dingy and somewhat orange where the mat sits. I have not attempted to clean the area with a shampooer yet but will update this post as soon as I do.Other than this problem, the mats are wonderful and are showing no other signs of wear. I'm thinking an easy fix for this issue might be to put down a piece of rug grip underneath.

Really nice for catching debris and water/snow!
I bought this for inside the front door, as we constantly have people tracking stuff into the house. The salt from the sidewalk was driving me crazy! This mat has pretty much eliminated the junk being tracked in. It seems very well made and impervious to the weird stuff that comes in on everyone's shoes (mud, salt, slush, snow). I also love how easily it is to clean it. I just pick it up and shake it really well outside and all the stuff falls from between the ridges. I haven't poured water onto it, but I have noticed that chunks of snow/ice that are left on it melt away quickly and seem to be evaporated within a couple of hours. It also lies flat so that the door sweep doesn't catch it, unlike some of my other floor mats that I've had to battle. It comes shipped flat, so I doubt it could be effectively rolled up!It doesn't matter to me, but if you're buying this to fit exactly into a space, you might want to rethink it. Ours is about 1/2" short on one side and 1/4" on the other. It doesn't matter for our purposes, but if you're trying to fill the space between the door openings exactly it may run small on you (I measured it to see if it would fit in the entryway to the garage as the opening is exactly 3 ft. and I didn't want to order a second rug that would be too big. That was how I came to learn this -- I'm not so super-anal as to measure everything that comes through the door... at least not every time. ;-) ).The colour is a nice soft brown -- much like the colour of a Hershey's chocolate bar. It doesn't appear quite so checkerboard-ish as it does in the photo online, either, which is nice.Once I've had to rinse it out I'll revisit this review with my experiences, but I have no doubt that it will hold up beautifully to anything I might throw at it.

Love it!!! Wish I had purchased this years ago.
A very long time ago (6 years), I purchased a bigger version of this for the back door that leads from the garage to the kitchen. We have loved that water hog mat ever since. Really does soak up water, easy to vacuum, barely moves, etc. A couple of weeks ago, my husband voiced his disgust at the current 2x3 rug in front of the door that leads from the family room to the deck. It's a carpeted area, so it's raised. We have a light carpet in the family room that I have to shampoo every so often. So the cheap rug that has sat in front of this back door for years, protecting the carpet, slides around, folds in half and is just generally a pain in the butt, especially during parties. It finally hit me that we need a water hog mat for that door too. Best price was on Amazon, of course. New 2x3 water hog mat for the door in front of the carpet is amazing, which is why I should have bought it years ago. Barely moves, does not bump into the door when someone opens it, soaks up water, simple and amazing.I love these mats to much that I also purchased a large one to protect the hardwood at the front door. The colors are nice and simple. I did find the larger one cheaper on eBay, brand new. But for this 2x3 size and free two day shipping for PRIME members, this deal can't be beat.

Good looking and practical door mat
Just received and very pleased with my purchase. Easy to clean and durability rated at 4*, just because they will not be known until some time in the future. A word to those who want a "green" mat, I would have called it deep aqua, it's not as dark as teal (computer screens can vary with color accuracy but mine showed it correctly). I bought it to put at my kitchen door out to our deck and our walls are aqua so it suits me perfectly. It arrived via UPS in a oversized box to lay flat (2ft x 3ft size mat) and not rolled or folded. Also, just to let you know that the black rubbery surround extends the entire mat and has little rubber nubs which I assume are to help grip and keep the mat in place. The mat is quite heavy so I doubt it would move much anyway.
