In fact, I have a five year old Money Tree at home, that I have grown in the very soil from a clipping to almost 2.5 feet tall. This soil will do the trick. Please let us know if you have any other questions. **Q: Is this a good blend for an azalea clipping (bonsai now) that is strong and ready to go into its own pot (outside in FL)?** A: I have purchased this 4 times now. I do mix it with bonsai soil. I like it because it helps to drain easier in the bonsai training pots. It is a little more pricey and that’s why I blend it. I have used it straight in my Bougainville bonsai and it’s doing great! **Q: Is this soil good when starting from seed?** A: Definitely this is one of the best soils to use especially on seeds whether you soak start or plant right into soil **Q: Is this good for a ficus retusa?** A: Yes, I have used this mixture to re pot my ficus. At first I thought it was an odd mixture but the tree is very happy in it as are many other of my bonsai trees. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality Bonsai Soil. *by on Reviewed in the United States October 5, 2026* Good texture soil for a bonsai, Good Plant growth, Good Drainage, Great value for its worth, Great ingredient, Quantity of soil perfect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Affordable and Great soil that works ! *by on Reviewed in the United States December 7, 2025* About 8 days since repotting my tiger ficus bonsai in this soil and it’s only lost 10-15 leaves and that’s with a root prune. I bought my ficus originally online and so glad I decided to get this product. The nursery peat soil was so saturated just like a sponge it would’ve probably in time gave root rot. Almost all the leaves are still nice and green, turgid, and upright — very little wilting or drooping which you can expect sometimes up to 50 or more leaves total fall so this stuff works wonders !! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tree loves it *by on Reviewed in the United States June 6, 2026* My Bonsai tree loves the soil. It does not look like typical soil. It looks like small rocks. But it drains water out of the pot while keeping roots moist/ wet. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bonsai Outlet Bonsai Soil Mix - Tinyroots All Purpose Bonsai Soil Mix Ready to Use Blend, Used for All Varieties of Bonsai Trees, 2.5 Gallons - Kiyonal New Bonsai Pruning Cutting Sealer 100g Made in Japan - Anodized Aluminum Bonsai Training Wire 5-Size Starter Set with Canvas Bag - 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm (147 feet total) - Choose Your Color (5 Sizes, Black) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hu/products/24721288-bonsai-soil-mix-tinyroots-all-purpose-bonsai-soil-mix-ready](https://www.desertcart.hu/products/24721288-bonsai-soil-mix-tinyroots-all-purpose-bonsai-soil-mix-ready) --- *Product available on Desertcart Hungary* *Store origin: HU* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
