It's perfect size for this master piece.

Beethoven dedicated this sonata to the countess guicciardi and proposed marriage to her. the marriage did not take place - no doubt because she tried to play the sonata. often, my small hands and stubby fingers cannot reach beyond the octave required nor depress all the keys without having to break the chords. it's in C sharp minor with 4 accidentals and liberal use of the raised 7th, lots of notes in unfamiliar territory south of the bass clef. you get a tiny bit of deceptive relief in the allegretto, but do not be deceived, the following soul crushing presto will leave you empathetic to those who have taken solo journeys round the world, people who've lost everything on the stock market, those stranded at altars, people who looked for paper towel in march of 2020, people who've never had an adorable pet, etc. the fact though that it's from you and your piano that that incredible sound is coming from, the affect of those tear duct swelling chords are inspiring - but I can't help feeling it's a Lucy/Charlie Brown football kind of thing.NOTE: Sorry should've mentioned this earlier - It's an Alfred edition, edited by Palmer with all of the Alfred/Palmer hallmarks - clean unfussy scores, big fonts, generous pagination, historical and performance context, suggested Palmer fingering. Good luck with Beethoven's metronome settings.

The introductory portion of the composition has instructions on how to practice this music. It was written by one of Beethoven's students!! I'm so glad I found this book. Most classical music books only give you the first movement. This has all three movements.

Can on time. Music large & clear enough for 12 year old. Book appears to be well binded together.

This is great sheet music. The piece is not easy to play, but that is okay. I am ready for a challenge.
