I just got my birks and they are in a plain cardboard box. not an original birkenstock box. anyone else? i'm thinking i got fakes. how can i tell?

Mine came in a Birkenstock box. Try to compare it to the same ones on the actual Birkenstock.com site. You can zoom in and see any differences. Mine checked out fine but they are actually only $34.00 on there and I paid $54 on here. Hmph.

How do I stop them from making a farting noise?

Tighten down the center straps. If my feet aren't swollen, mine are also noisy.

Is a size 5/5 1/2 women’s a 36 Birkenstock European? size

According to the brand 37 european size is US 6L 4M. We have right now 36, 37 and 38 but we don't control the publication of products, we just add our stock by ean barcode and can't figure out which one is the size amazon is saying.
