I had purchased and used this product before, but the place I bought it from no longer offered it online. I didn't know where else to look for it. My scalp is oily and my shampoos don't always get my roots clean by just using shampoo. This stuff is great!My hair is dyed - this may bleed the color a bit, but a clean scalp is worth it.Actually, the first bottle I got from Amazon looked a little wetter, so maybe the one I got from that other place was dried out a little bit.Just bought some other brands of scalp scrubs yesterday and have yet to try them, but this was the original and tried and true scrub! Highly recommend!!P.S. Love their "In So Deep" scrub as well, but can't find that online or on Amazon. That's sad. This is a great product line where several products actually work well for me. Happy to find it here and have 2 bottles on hand! :-)

Cake leaves my scalp less itchy and seems to soften the hair a bit. Truly a product fit for a Lord.

I like it. I don't love it. It feels good on my scalp. I've used it twice now. I haven't noticed anything amazing with my hair since using it. Prob won't repurchase. Smell is ok.

Most reviews say it smells like cake or cookies, but I thought it had a lemon scent. Love the smell! It’s not overly scented, but very fresh.I have a lot of hair, but I also have an extremely dry scalp from Psoriasis. I only used it once, but was impressed with how well it loosened the plaque and my scalp is far clearer. It gave my hair good volume and it feels nice and silky. It lathers well to get to the scalp through all my hair which was a concern I had going into using an exfoliator for the first time.

This scrub really works well to remove build up and cleanse the scalp. It gives your hair that squeaky clean feel after washing. Today my hair is soft and shiny. It even has a volumizing effect that has somewhat restored my semi curly hair to nice waves without having to use any other leave in product. I think it may be too strong to use as a regular shampoo but it definitely works as intended.

The product is grainy.I have oily scalp and it's easily prone to product build up and pores clogging.It made my hair quite dry on first use. But it did help me extend my wash cycle by one more day.I usually wash every 2 days, this has allowed for 3 day wash cycle without hair becoming too greasy.It hasn't had any significant difference to my hair quality though.50-50 on this one.

I don’t have any dry scalp issues, but I do get terrible product buildup at the roots. I use a “root lifting” mousse, body building spray and a styling/volumizing powder on the roots of my hair. No matter how many times I washed with a clarifying shampoo (I’ve tried them all - Paul Mitchell, Nexxus, Kenra - to name a few) the roots of my hair felt dry, clumpy, flat and lifeless after washing. I’ve used this scalp exfoliator once, and the difference is amazing. Not only are my roots clean; they, and the rest of my hair, are soft and full of volume. I have never had a “shampoo” make such a huge difference in the appearance and feel of my hair. I have fine hair as well, and the body and volume I achieved with this product are amazing. If you have product buildup and/or fine, limp hair - give this product a try. The results will astound you.

I am not a fan of the scent at all. Smells like little kid perfume. Not really sure if it helps anything. It is just okish.

I was super impressed by this for the price.- cruelty free- smells awesome- immediate resultsI've used this a few times now and will definitely be repurchasing once this bottle is done. Though it says it can be used as your shampoo I prefer to use this and then my regular shampoo. I did notice an immediate improvement in my scalp, and it did help my limp hair have more volume near the roots. I have thin hair with 3b curls, and tend to have oily roots. My roots felt squeaky clean after this, and it did help significantly with oiliness - so if your hair is dry I'm not sure if that would be an issue.

I have chronic dry scalp, not dandruff and oily scalp and fine hair. Tried this on referral from a friend.Love the scent! I've been using it on my travel area surround my temples and it doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy and seems to be working!

It’s got a smell like lemon meringue pie, very scrubby feeling on scalp. Apply dry, scrub scalp and once you add water it lathers and acts as a shampoo. Make sure you rinse well. I love it!

This smells delicious, like lemon poppyseed loaf, and made my hair feel nice and voluminous. However, my scalp does not seem to react well to it and tends to get itchy after using it so I'll have to resort to using it as a body scrub.
