OK here's a post on how-to beyond U-tube. The product is only as good as the installation and to install it right like instructions on U-tube is good but no where have I seen on U-tube that you have to adjust the glass after you install the panel. Here is what you do! after the glass is in the holders and tightened hook up the power and try the window to see if it is dragging going up. Check the slack in the window by pulling up on the front of the glass. note the slack and go to the front window holder and loosen the bolt 3 turns, now pry the window glass UP in the holder the amount of the slack noted, usually about 1/2 an inch. retighten the bolt and try the window function again. this re-aligns the glass in the track for smooth operation, no strain on the cables, and it will last for the year warranty and more. If the window droops in the front when raising it, you have to adjust the glass! if the window drags when raising it you have to adjust the glass! Hope this helps!! James, 38 yr master.

Very good replacement however not perfect. I've used twice and both times the exact same results, the mounting is a perfect fit. The drives and hold down positions are all correct. The only problem I have experienced is the regulator does not allow the glass to travel completely down.

It perfectly fits my 2007 Beetle and it works as expected. I was a bit apprehensive, given the complexity of the part, but it's a perfect match. Having the regulator already assembled on the frame is really a plus. Removing the old (broken) part and replacing it with this one was a long but easy job.

Don't go through the pain I've gone through with aftermarket VW window regulator mechanisms. I've had three aftermarket panels (this panel was one of them) fail within months after installation in my 2001 VW Beetle. Purchase the genuine VW rebuild kits - OEM Number: 1CM898656. I've had the doors on this car apart 5 times now!

Fits perfect just breaks easily hardly ever use my window the one time I do i heard a pop the metal wires came out of the plastic that pulls the window up and down.

It fit perfect. Much cheaper than the dealership. I highly recommend. Product came in on time. No complaints. Easy to install
