(And stay away from my BBQ pit!)I love how this product is made by the Good Folks down in Covington, Louisiana. I will happily support a product Made in America by real hardworking Americans like myself. To me that is not just a huge bonus, it is exactly why I chose to buy this product and support Grill Beast. Big A+ to them on this part.The packaging was superb. Some reviews mentioned bent skewers but mine were packaged so well they were practically bulletproof so no clue how they could bend shipping. The shipping was super quick.It also came with a little booklet with some good advice and an ebook with recipes. Need to check the ebook out but the booklet was something useful to keep around, it had pretty good general info.I love everything about this product except I wish the handles were bigger. You do need to use a glove, rag or oven mitten to grab these off the grill so if that is a big turn off for you then these are not what you are looking for. I also wish they were a little bit longer but I could see the shortness being more convenient for some folks grills. But for the price just around 8 bucks I cannot complain at all, or subtract any stars from the rating. If you want skewers like these that are longer with bigger handles that you don't need gloves for then you would have to pay twice as much.The ends are already pretty sharp out of package and Grill Beast was nice enough to include tips for all the skewers. Good for safety and making sure they don't go dull. I will sharpen the ends some more to make it easier to pierce through meat and veggies.I can't wait to figure out all the new things I can grill with these. And a lot these will make a lot of the things I already grill easier to flip and grill both sides evenly. I will probably buy another set of these to leave out at the cabin for grilling over the campfire.10/10 - See myself buying a spare set in the future.

I purchased these skewers a few weeks ago and have used them several times. I like the flat blades much better than the round ones that I have used in the past and the tips are sharp. My primary reason for purchasing skewers was to grill vegetables buy I tried some shrimp and was pleased with the results. I had no problem piercing the shrimp with the skewer and the cleanup was easy. Good skewer for the money.

NOT MADE IN THE USA—The company is based out of New Orleans, but these are made in China.Another review made me think that these were made in USA, and that is not the case. That also makes me question the review that said these were 430 stainless steel—Grill Beast has not said what they are made of besides “High Quality Stainless Steel.” Great. Your high quality could be totally different than my high quality.Given the price I paid of $11, I suppose I should have expected chinese-made 300 grade steel.I went to the website for the eBook full of recipes—It no longer exists.The skewers seem fine for what they are, I just wish Grill Beast would be more transparent so consumers could make a more informed decision. After all, this is going to be touching my family’s food.Will update after I put these through the ringer of high heat grill use and cycles through the dishwasher.

Used them as soon as i got them. sharp and thin design is great for veggies. all the other skewers i own are too thick and they put a hole that is to wide through the center and the veggies spin around on my old skewers. THESE ARE GREAT!!!!. my wife is a vegetarian and i am always cooking vegetables on skewers. I have been thru a lot of different ones and i have to say these are the BEST. Before writing this i noticed someone said they are flimsy, I didn't have that problem at all. everyone who knows BBQ knows you pick up a flat skewer edge up. Round skewers and thick flat are for the rookies. ordering 6 more. LOVE THE PRODUCT

A little pricey, but worth it. Heavy gauge, quality material. Works much better than wood sticks or round metal rods. Even the small square rods I used to use would let things rotate during cooking, not these. Tapered point makes insertion easy into just about everything without splitting things in half. will be buying another set for when company comes over. Recommended.

I am completely satisfied with these skewers!! They points are nice and sharp nice and stiff food does not slip work great!!!I am convinced the person who wrote the review that "they are so flimsy they bend by just looking at them" works for another skewer company. I would recommend these to anyone interested in high quality skewers.

These would have gotten 0 stars, but I did like the big handles. The problem with these skewers lies in the fact that they are flat. The metal is thin enough that filling them up with meat will bend them. Washing them bends them. Pretty much anything besides looking at them will bend them. They are easy enough to bend back, but you will be left with a curvy skewer that I am not sure will last very long. They bend easily enough that I imagine they would eventually break in the same way a bent paper-clip would. The price was right, and the handles are pleasantly large, but stick with a standard metal (round/square) skewer and you won't b e disappointed.
