Pioneer TS-A6986R A-Series 6" X 9" 600W 4-Way Speakers

One reviewer said horrible. Mine are anything but! I have fantastic sound quality with just thes speakers and an aftermarket deck. Nothing else. Take time to do a quality install and you can get as good of sound as if you spent far more and used external amps. Use a seal of weatherstripping between the speaker and the mount hole. Make sure the mount material doesn't rattle and everything is tight. Finally, use a foam strip between the front edge of the speaker and the door panels to direct all sound into the cabin, without losses behind the door panel. Also make sure polarity is correct on all wires because one speaker wired backwards KILLS bass. If you do these things you will be rewarded with sound from coaxial speakers you never thought possible. Clean, clear, and crisp with a nice low end thump. The bass has boom, the highs have zing, and the mids are so warm they make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. My speakers are going on 2 years old and still sound fantastic. The built in EQ that the deck has combined with these speakers has made music in my truck an absolute joy. The only downside is they look sexy as can be but are hidden behind my stock grilles.

put these in the rear deck of car. plenty of bass @50 watts each . highs seem a little week but could be the head unit or being drown out by better trebble up front . very clear and great speakers i would buy again.

Using four of these Pioneer TS-A6986R A-Series 6" X 9" 600W to power my rear home theater surrounds in series, believe it or not, and they sound so much better than the rears I had previously. I'm super happy with my purchase and will probably pick up more in the future!

I have placed the factory system these speakers are a great upgrade, though I do feel the bass is a touch soft.

I put these in my 2017 Raptor! Night and day better then factory speakers that came in the truck! I have the 802a Sony system, but the factory speakers were lack luster to say the least! Buy them, great speaker for the price!

Even though Amazon says this does not fit a 2013 Nissan Sentra SV, they actually do for the rear deck (Two speakers that you can see in thr trunk) You just don't use the provided grills. They sound great, thanks!

OEM fit. Decent sound.

Installed these in my old daily driver and they are great. The sound is just perfect for me driving from client to client. Would purchase these again for another car.

Not the same Pioneer that is to be

I bought this model (TS-A6986R) because I previously bought 6-1/2" Pioneer speakers, model TS-A1606C, which I really appreciated the sound quality and performance over the entire frequency range of the speaker. However, I was disappointed by the sound level of the bass frequencies of the TS-A6986R model which was quite noticeably lower when compared to the previously installed poor quality stock speakers. The reproduction of the mid and high frequencies are however flawless and impressive. Being a Pioneer speaker from the A-series, I thought I would have been as sastified as I was with my TS-A1606C model. The lesson I learned here is to always visit a retailler so you can listen and compare the speakers.J'ai acheté ce modele TS-A6986R car j'avais auparavant acheté des haut-parleurs de 6-1/2" modele TS-A1606C de Pioneer dont j'ai apprécié la qualité sonore et le rendement sur toute la plage de fréquences. Cependant, j'ai été décu du TS-A6986R car le niveau sonore des basses fréquences est bien inférieur à ceux des haut-parleurs d'origine qui sont de qualité lamentable. Les hautes et moyennes fréquences sont quant à elles parfaites et bien supérieures aux haut-parleurs d'origine. Je m'étais fié au fait que ce haut-parleur était de la série-A de Pioneer et je m'attendais à obtenir la même satisfaction qu'avec le modele TS-A1606C. La lecon à retenir c'est qu'il faut en tout temps prendre le soin d'aller écouter et comparer les hauts-parleurs chez un détaillant.
